it seems that damn near 80% of the people who watch floyd fight dont know a damn thing about boxing, his uncle roger is right only a few know what theyre seeing. floyd doesnt "run" idiots, its called footwork, ring generalship. plus this fight is not a mismatch as many would want you to think, true, floyd is a 147lb boxer but he is not a big, strong welter like cotto for example. and is alot easier to gain weight and put on muscle then it is to lose weight and muscle like oscar had to do in order to make weight vs pacquiao, which is the reason he looked like an ethiopian crackhead that night.

and if the fight is such a mismatch, why so many are begging floyd to fight manny for, wouldnt that be a mismatch as well? marquez is a way better boxer and counter puncher than manny is, so floyd isnt cherrypicking his opponents, he'l be facing one of the best in the world sept.19 . and why make a big fuss about marquez coming up 2 weight classes, but when pacquiao beat oscar,people praised him like he was a god or somethin, knowin damn well oscar was dead meat before it even started.

people just hate floyd no matter what the man does, he will always have haters, because hes flamboyant and talks alot. and they praise manny because hes quiet and doesnt talk, who cares about the personality, its about what they do in the ring.

When Floyd was at 130 and 135 up until 2003,

Marquez was 126 up until two years ago.

Floyd has always been naturally bigger, so I'm not sure how that statement even means anything.

Floyd beats Marquez any time, at any weight for the simple fact that he not only does what Juan Manuel Marquez does, but he does it better, while being bigger, faster and stronger.


Which is exactly why Floyd chose to fight him instead of an actual welterweight.

i disagree i think floyd chose him because he is P4P #2 and many believe he beat the P4P #1 and because like oscar and hatton marquez has some international pride appeal which along with his star appeal makes for big #s

Oscar De La Hoya is one sore loser. Floyd beat him & he is always looking for someone to do what he couldn't do. Anyone that knows boxing can appreciate Floyd's style of boxing. When he beat Ricky Hatton, Oscar picked Hatton & had everyone at goldenboy saying the same thing. In my opinion Oscar was just a average fighter. When it came to the big fights he lost. I would love to see the fight between Sweet Pee & Oscar. For some reason it never comes on the sports channel. I WONDER WHY?

Lol, so DLH feels as though the current P4P king lost 2 fights against JMM, but Floyd has to KO him to make a statement... He can't win decisively by decision, he has to KO him. Will someone tell DLH to shut the hell up. He wants someone to beat Money May so bad, because he "couldn't pull the trigger as Roach said". He needs to worry less about Floyd and more about staying retired. Because Shaq deserved the decision win over him. i think in this post you just repeated everything pbf has said in the passed. So you don't think this fight with jmm is a mismatch? That means you give jmm a chance in beating floyd? Right?

And, the whole jmm/pac/pbf argument i think is ridiculous. Pac has proven that he can carry the weight while jmm hasn't. If you look jmm as lightweight it look that was his limit that he was pushing it at 135. And, now you saying he will still be effective at 144? And, for styles makes fight. I do think pac can give pbf hell. The hand and foot speed, the head movement, the punching power, and the southpaw stance. Imo will trouble pbf.

their is no comparison, (not even slightly) between a drained and shot boxer o.d.h and a p4p boxer at his prime, such as mayweather. The status of the boxer at the time of these fights speak volumes itself.
