I have to say...it looked like a legit KO.

Marcus Browne a joke? Stop with the BS man. He was #5 with Ring, #5 with TBRB, #8 with ESPN, #8 with Boxrec, #1 with the WBC, #7 with the IBF and #7 with the WBO. You sound like a casual dismissing top 10 guys like Browne.
        295-5 amateur record.

No Beterbiev is not a volume puncher but more like a wear you down/ walk you down type of fighter who is much more methodical and surgeon like. Think smart aggression. Also Beterbiev strength is greater than Frochs.

Strength wise he is similar to Arthur Abraham but with more boxing skills and a larger frame.

Froch and Beterbiev have some similar traits but Froch didn’t have the technical skills of Beterbiev. He didn’t have the same sort of crushing power too. Beterbiev is pretty much an all around better fighter.
I can see why Grandpa notes the similarities but I agree with you that Beterbiev is all-round better.

How to you see the smith-johnson fight going?

I really enjoyed watching Froch but he’d have an absolute nightmare with Marcus Browne and his spoiling style.
This is Beterbiev laying a smackdown on Pascal.....in 2014!

Beterbiev was barely a pro and Pascal a seasoned veteran and couldn't deal with the pressure, power and intensity that Artur brings.

Froch (along with kessler who I consider his equal) are really underrated.

We have light weight dudes at 168 now like BJS and Caleb Plant who are feather fisted with biscuit chins and would have been bullied and destroyed by Froch or Kessler.

168 has kind of been a barren wasteland since the super 6 guys retired.

Beterbiev might be a better fighter than Froch but he also fights once a year against guys nobody has ever heard of so idk.

So you see the same I see: Canelo is not even that great. He unified the division full of mediocre soft touches.
