Beating Gvozdyk for the WBC and lineal title is better than anything Froch has done since Gvozdyk is a better fighter than anyone on Froches resume and better boxer than anyone on Forches resume so is Bivol who he needs to fight next. Didnt stop Beterbiev from beating and KOing perceived better boxers.

Nah he’s not. Beterbiev is better technically, a bigger puncher, better footwork, better combination puncher.

What attributes does Froch have over Beterbiev?

First off, just cause you say that. DONT MEAN ITS TRUE. I couldn’t get thru the first round of watching Beterbiev. He’s slow, ponderous, punches at air and has poor balance. Having tremendous power means NOTHING without great timing. His opponent was a joke.

Froch was physically sturdy and had a great chin but Beterbiev is a better fighter than Froch was. Beterbiev is also bigger and more powerful than Froch was. They competed in different weight divisions, so it’s like comparing apples to oranges.

I hate to use triangle theories but surely a better example would be to look at would be to look at what Froch did to a peak Pascal at his best weight then look what a shot Pascal did to Browne but I guess that wouldn't suit the narrative of Beterbiev supposedly being better than Froch.

Pascal was at his peak when he was 26? Hardly. The best Pascal has ever looked in a fight was against Bute. He's the quintessential ambush fighter. Fighters like that always last a bit longer in the sport and are always dangerous, even towards the end of their careers (Gamboa is another example).

Froch was pretty trash if you actually evaluate his career. He need a comeback against Jermain Taylor after getting his ears boxed off. Got schooled by Dirrell. Got schooled by Andre Ward (who dominated him using only one arm).

Froch's signature wins were against: Bute and George Groves.

None of which are on the level of a Gvozdyk.

Froch is the most overrated and unreasonably beloved fighter for some reason.

He’s clearly better technically than Froch. Beterbiev was an amateur world champion, multiple time European champion. He’s incredibly well schooled. So yeah it is true.

Marcus Browne a joke? Stop with the BS man. He was #5 with Ring, #5 with TBRB, #8 with ESPN, #8 with Boxrec, #1 with the WBC, #7 with the IBF and #7 with the WBO. You sound like a casual dismissing top 10 guys like Browne.
