It's mostly salty canelo Alvarez fans who hyped up Errol because they couldn't sleep at night knowing there's another guy in boxing as skilled or more skilled than their man crush, so they try to tear this man down 24/7 to make them feel better as men. They went to bed each night praying that the Bud vs Porter or spence fight would never happen so they could keep calling him a duck. It's ok, the truth is coming out now that Bud is the one who moved up in weight the chase after the feared boogeyman in a division after becoming undisputed at 140.
Does Terrence Crawford have the most overrated skills in boxing?

So true ... it's not just Alvarez fans but those groups that are pro one promotional outfit and anti every other one. For them, Crawford is the antichrist because he set to bring down the stranglehold that one outfit had over the welterweight division.

He has a similar problem Gervonta Davis has, very good skills and great power which can bail them out of tough fights. He’s elite but what’s going to happen if his slow starting and power cant bail him out? Lomachenko(the former) and Lopez(the latter) suffered from that specificallyComment

That too, I just ant the best to fight the best, I don't care if it's Errol or Bud, Canelo or Charlo, these fans just would rather protect their fighter from taking a loss and block other good fights from happening, they're not boxing fans, they're boxing celebrity fans.Comment

That's a terrible insult to compare Bud to Tank Davis, Bud may lose a couple close rounds early on, but it's not his power bailing him out, he adjusts in the middle of the fight and boxes the **** out of his opponents before stopping them. It's that word Andre Ward says, he downloads the data and then once he's down downloading he makes the adjustments and completely outboxes all these guys, people laugh at him because round 2 against Brook he lost, but then he completely outboxed Brook round 3 before stopping him in the 4th. Same with the Porter fight, round 6 and on it wasn't close, Shawn had no chance. He has a similar problem Gervonta Davis has, very good skills and great power which can bail them out of tough fights. Bud has shown flashes of technical brilliance but I am fully convinced he rather go in there to trade and get the guy out of there. It’s like he loves a dog fight and wants the stoppage at all cost. That’s been great as he’s laid everyone out at 147 but he’ll def need to tighten up against Spence or even Ugas.Comment

That’s not a terrible comparison whatsoever. They do have similar attributes. Porter or one of his podcast hosts even mentioned that. Heck, the Barrios and Porter fights had a similar situation(The corner telling the fighter they losing, the fighter in disbelief and takes the guy out of there in round 10). Your overrating his adjustments here. He does a really great job adjusting the way he did with his opponents but it’s going to catch up to him eventually if he gives up too many early rounds. Almost forgot, in regards to Brook, no shame in Bud losing a couple rounds to him as Brook has given everyone problems initially(despite being a shell of himself)

Ask the guys he's fought. That's a good start.

Not at all similar, Bud fights tons of current and former champions, top 5 guys in the division, rarely loses rounds, sometimes he'll lose a couple rounds early on, but always adjusts and dominates the final rounds of a fight.

You can't compare their resumes. At all.
Who has Tank fought? 2 paper champions, Pedraza, who was rated #6 by the ring, and Barrios, was that guy even ranked by the ring??? Bud has been in there with countless top 5 guys in his divisions and passes each test wth flying colors.
Are you really comparing adjustments in the Barrios and Porter fight? Come on, Porter was a guy who has been in there with all the natural born killers at 147 and given each and every one of them hell. How did Barrios even get a belt again? Remind me because I don't remember. All I know is that he beat Ryan Karl, is that guy even a top 30 boxer at 140?? If Porter is a B+ fighter then Barrios is an F.
I do like Tank and think he has potential to be great, but resume and performance wise, it's not even close.Last edited by TernceBudCharlo; 12-17-2021, 02:44 PM.Comment

If he was a PBC fighter, the same guys saying he's overrated would be deep throating him right now.Comment
