Donaire should just be walked into the hall of fame. He’s still doing it in this sport at 39 while he the ONLY boxer that you can bet has been clean due to the strict testing he’s been involved in for close to a decade.

Donaires comment about no cheat days tells you all you need to know. It's all about discipline and character. He has found the fountain of youth with that strategy.

The fake belts (Interim, Regular, IBO, etc) don't count as real world titles but they're still accomplishments. If they were the only belts Donaire had won in his career he wouldn't be considered a real world champion. They're just a cherry on top of his 11 real championships (1 lineal, 1 Ring, 9 major belts).

I fully agree with u dawg, I'm just pointing out that u probs shouldn't be putting that on his list of achievements whilst at the same time exposing those very pathetic belts for what they are, I'm probs nitpicking though so my bad

If all active fighters retired today and were eligible for the HOF, I'd put Canelo, Chocolatito, and Usyk above Donaire.

Donaire is admirable and has some quality wins but really only one win over a prime, proven opponent and that's Darchinyan. Points for Donaire that he has been active and fought many elite opponents. Wins count more than valiant losses though.

He knocked out Toshiaki Nishioka for the lineal, Ring Magazine, and WBC super bantamweight title. Nishioka was #1 and defending his WBC title for the 8th time.

He also knocked out Fernando Montiel, who was the reigning unified WBC/WBO champion and hadn't lost in over 5 years.

He took Omar Narvaez's 0 (Narvaez was a reigning champ one division down, lost to Donaire, went back down and won 8 more fights until losing to Inoue)

He beat Mathebula when he was IBF champion to unify.

He beat Vetyeka when he was a reigning champion.

He beat Burnett when he was an undefeated and reigning champion.

He beat Oubaali as a reigning undefeated champion.

Donaire is not done writing that resume yet, but it sure is already complete.
