I still rate Loma as the #1 Lightweight in the world.

Kambosos is the legit champion no doubt but Loma is still the best fighter in that division.

I’d actually prefer Loma to go back to 130 though, Loma vs Stevenson really intrigues me.

In my opinion, you could make a case for Loma, Haney, Tank, Kambosos, or even Teo to be the best light weight right now. Wish we could get around all of the promotional red tape to find out.

Haney and Tank don't have a top 5 win in their entire careers combined between them. Lopez just got worked over like a rented mule by Kambosos and is moving up to 140 anyway. He's not a lightweight anymore.

Kambosos is the champion and Lomachenko is the top challenger. That's all there is to it. Nobody else is in the conversation. They're the only two in the division with any top 5 wins.

As a light weight, Loma hasn’t accomplished anything more than Haney or Tank, he’s just been there longer. Lopez came out on the short end of a pretty good fight and if he’s right (physically and emotionally) you could easily make a case for him and that move to 140 might get reconsidered.

when i saw him in his hospital bed with his puppy dog eyes looking well sorry for himself i thought he was done, so yeah good to see him back in the mix, im surprised a bit actually

i think he gives anyone at LW a good scrap but im not sure if he wins them all, hes vulnerable more so at this weight i think

Completely disagree tbh man. Loma has done way more than Tank and Haney at 135.

Loma has beaten 2 champions and 4 fighters ranked top 5 at 135.
              (Linares WBA, Pedraza WBO)
(Linares #1/C, Pedraza #3, Campbell #4, Commey #5 per Ring.)

Haney has beaten 0 champions and 0 fighters ranked top 5.

Tank has beaten 0 champions and 0 fighters ranked top 5 at 135

Definitely more vulnerable at 135. He’s undersized for the weight class. Teofimo really utilised his size and length when he beat Loma.

If that’s how you chose to look at it. Remember Linares put Loma on his asz, and other than scare Ryan Garcia, Pedraza hasn’t really accomplished much and I rate JoJo and Cruz higher than Commey and miles ahead of Campbell.
