Algieri has only been knocked out twice after tonight. His record shows he doesn't hurt many. So clearly he isn't that easy to knock out.

Pacquiao dropped him 5 times and Provodnikov dropped him twice. He was also much younger when he fought all of them.

Why does Ennis come up from certain people in every single Benn thread? It's beyond boring. Ennis has vastly more experience and should already be competing against the top of the division. These people should be name dropping Ennis with Spence and Crawford. Not obsessing over Conor Benn. Taking on a 20-0 prospect that's fighting gatekeepers isn't good enough for a 28-0, former amateur star who's supposedly the future of the division.

Benn's already faced better competition up until fight number 20 despite having about a third of the amateur experience. So no fan of Ennis can moan about Benn's opposition with any kind of credibility.

That fight, if it happens, won't be any time soon because it makes zero sense right now. At least, zero sense for Benn and it only makes sense for Ennis if he's afraid of fighting the best guys in the division, which I don't think he is.

Those fighters were legally acquired by Haymon. Third - GBP was never going to turn any of their black fighters into stars. They promote Mexicans only. Fourth - And lets put this to rest now. Between Matchroom, GBP and TR...who has an American star? Canelo and Bud are free agents and AJ fights in the UK. TR's two most known fighters are Loma and Shakur...great fighters but no stars. GBP only semi-star is Rihanna Garcia but she is currently in negotiations with Instagram to be an **** bead model. Matchroom/DAZN only has two known American fighters in Andrade and Haney and their American profile is being destroyed on that app because absolutely nobody is watching that shyte. PBC has 3 fighters in Wilder, Spence and Tank that fight on PPV, two of them have consistently successful events. DAZN TR and GBP have no one that could even think about doing PPV. So someone please enlighten me as to where all of these 'stars' are please. Sorry to knock your ass off of your fantasy cloud 9 and drag you back down here to dataland, but somebody had to.

To clarify, I'm neutral on this topic. If you feel passionate about it, go into ShoulderRoll's thread and drop a comment.

Fans constantly question Benn's matchmaking. Each promoter has their way of doing things, and each strategy isn't one-size fits all. Some complain that Benn hasn't been built up properly because he didn't try to go for the Lonsdale belt, and how he's avoided all of those challengers. Matchroom decided to circumvent tradition and have steered him down a different path. If the plan is to try and build him into a star, I think it's working so far.

One thing I noticed, very clearly, Benn targeted the body more aggressively in the 4th round than any other round. This opened up Algieri upstairs and led to the KO. Good adjustment by Benn.

And yet he still wasn't KO'd by them. So, clearly not easy.

Benn had nothing to fear in punching power and Algeri wasn't moving as much. Benn did what he had to do with an opponent of this caliber and mileage. Algieri represents another name on his resume, it is amazing how many opportunities low KO ratio fighters with a name get.

You ignore the fact that he was much younger Algieri then. He got knocked out cold from a punch when he was a kickboxer not the first time he's been knocked out. Like I said Benn did what he was supposed to do keep hyping him up though there's a reason he didn't jump on Granados he was weary of the counter punch why no mention of Ava?
