It's going to be interesting to see all the UK Haymon haters that have been talking shyte about PBC fighters for years suddenly get a change of heart when it comes to AB. If Hearn is able to get him on DAZN watch how the narrative will change to "AB was just misunderstood"... "AB stands for All Bravery"..."Al mistreated him".. "AB is the greatest boxer ever in America and if Conner beats him that makes him better than any boxer in American history".... "ALL HAIL THE QUEEN"! But I have a sneaky su****ion that Haymon and Espinosa care to much ABout it (see what I did there). For them, this is like sending your enemy the girl he was always in love with after you have been slutting her out for the last decade and she's no good to you anymore. So if Hearn does get him he better wear a condo!

I'm not sure Broner beats Algieri at this point. Why would that be the next step for Connor if he beats Algieri?

Because apparently Broner has reached out showing interest in the fight. PBC may have washed their hands of him. Hearn will pay.

Because Broner has a big name that Benn could beat. Those other guys you mentioned don't have the Q-rating of Broner but would be much more difficult fights (that Benn would likely lose to, although Garcia looks about as motivated as Broner at this point it).

Benn isn't that good. Maybe he gets better but Hearn wants the most amount of juice for the least amount of squeeze. That's why Benn is fighting dudes who you remember being relevant 5+ years ago.

No idea what Algieri has left but based upon their respective lifestyles, my guess is Chris has few miles on his odometer. I think at this point, I'd think Algieri is a far stiffer test.

So why Broner next? Because he will sell the fight and he's a name casuals can think is a dangerous step up for Benn.

Hearn is ****** to want it! AB owes $800,000! He'll might make weight, and that's ABout all! The fight is going to suck!

Possibly. But exactly the same was said of Brook. You just admitted he was taken seriously. But pre Porter he wasn't. Same went for Lloyd Honeyghan. It's a division America always has a grip of. But if every British fighter is written off then one will prove people wrong every now and then. It just may be Benn. I'm not saying it will be. But I can guarantee the next UK ww that does get taken seriously, wont be, pre title win.

Far more British casual boxing fans have heard of Broner than have heard of Algieri. Plus Broner can be introduced as an ex-champion.
