It was after the Horn fight, and Pac couldn’t fight in America. I’m sure Loma should have jumped at fighting an untelevised fight in Kuala Lampor

Floyd Mayweather: Vasyl Lomachenko will have to wait for Gervonta Davis
      May 21, 2017

"There's no rush, Lomachenko has to rush because he's 30 years old, so he has to rush," Mayweather said.

"This kid [Davis] is still young so we're going to take our time. We're not ducking and diving any opponent, but we're not focused on any other opponents right now.

"We're not throwing any names out there but whoever takes the fight Gervonta has an equaliser that can change the fight..."

"We put him in this position [making a first defence in London] because we believe this kid can fight and he will be a superstar," Mayweather added.

"He's still a kid and still growing, we don't know how big or good he can be. One step at a time, we're not going to rush. Everything is a process and takes time. There's a lot of things he needs to learn on the outside of the ropes.

"This kid right here [Davis] is one of the biggest names in boxing and has to be one of the most exciting fighters. He's not even 100 percent -- he will get better. We were saying don't rush the knockout because he's the main event, you have to take your time."

As good as Floyd Mayweather Jr says Gervonta Davis is after an impressive first world title defence, he is not in a rush to match him with the likes of Vasyl Lomachenko.

This is what the haters keep referring to! My reply to them then and now, is that it's kind of hypocritical to fault Floyd for slow-walking Tank, WHO WAS 23 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME, when 'Papachenko" kept his son out of the professional ranks until he was 25! At this time, I think Tank is ready for anyone at 135! Now I think Floyd is just being petty, because of his beef with Arum and Top Rank! Tank needs to fight Loma, but first at least one of them need to be a Champion at 135!

its ok that tank ducked because someone else turned pro late is not a valid argument. tank made the choice to turn pro and made the choice to be a "world champion" you cant duck after making those choices. also he keeps ducking everyone and hes 27 now. thats just who he is

Loma would be at a huge size and weight disadvantage…147 for Loma is ridiculous to even contemplate! Lopez and his Dad are the ones who said they would not give Loma a rematch, they said “what for”.
I guess Loma isn't as skilled as Mayweather since Floyd was always fighting guys the outweighed him by more than 10 lbs . And casuals still wanted him to fight GGG at 160 yet they defend Loma being to small to move up

You fn morons. Loma was promoted to Franchise because he's a generational talent. 2 gold medals, best amateur ever, 5 regular belts in 3 divisions in 15 fights. Noone anywhere, anytime said let's give it to Loma so he could avoid the racist, 'no white boy gonna beat me in the ring', Haney. If Loma had said the opposite about Haney there would have been protests globally and pushes to strip him of his 3 belts. Loma didn't have to get Franchise to fight Teo next. A mando WAS Never going to be ordered by Hearns and never was because he COULDN'T.

After the win against Campbell, Loma had three belts and had an open path to fight Teo for undisputed. Undisputed supercedes all mandos. What fighter in the history of boxing would turn down the fight for undisputed to fight a lowly mando, when no mando could be called? But the fn myopic racists, Haney wasn't alone with that but encouraged and supported by his fanbase, are so blinded and so lack clarity that every corner is a conspiracy.

The reasons behind the decisions of Floyd and Papachenko were very similar! Just because you turn pro, doesn't mean you're a finished product! However, it's very hypocritical to ask a 23 yr. old to fight a talent like Loma, and then not ask, "Why did Papachenko not let his son turn Pro until 25???" I think Tank is ready for anyone @ 135 NOW! Loma needs to restor his image too! He's 15-2, and has now lost to an old fat Salido, and a Baby phenom in Teo! The Teo loss makes Loma look even worse! Hopefully he can get back to form! In the meantime, Tank needs a real belt @ 135 or 140! Floyd should either get Kambosos or Josh Taylor!

Team Lomachenko: Pacquiao Must Go To 135 - No Catch-Weight!

Egis Klimas, the manager of WBA lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (11-1, 9 KOs), made it clear that his boxer is not willing to move up to the junior welterweight limit of 140 pounds for a catch-weight bout with Manny Pacquiao.

This past weekend, Pacquiao captured the WBA "regular" welterweight title with a seven round stoppage of Lucas Matthysse in Malaysia.

It was Pacquiao's first stoppage win since 2009 and also his first fight in the ring since July 2017, when he lost a twelve round controversial decision to Jess Horn in Brisbane, Australia.

Egis Klimas, the manager of WBA lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (11-1, 9 KOs), made it clear that his boxer is not willing to move up to the junior welter

But Floyd has said he won't... Floyd is quoted as saying he does not want to share the wealth and wants only his promo company to have success. Its an irony... Arum did the same crap to Floyd until Floyd just left... Fought De La Hoya and suddenly became a box office success. Spence may not even want the fight... but if he does, nothing happens until him and Crawford promote the fight the old fashioned way... forget these suits and trying to feed Mcdonalds to viewers and calling it an Angus Burger... they need to get out there and get the same fans that are interested in Shannon the idiot cannon Briggs... when he was trolling the Klits lol... Some real Paul brothers shiat. Get on social media... go shopping in a harlem all night haberdashery and get into a bare knuckle affair on the street (Tyson Mitchell fight)... get people invested!!
