He's fought four world-level guys (Pacquiao, Khan, Provodnikov, Spence) and got knocked down 11 times in those fights.

If you don't understand how that means he has a vulnerable chin, I don't know what to tell you.

Yeah and ONE kept him down if you don't understand that I don't know what to tell YOU.

He peaked at 140 pounds 7+ years ago. That's when he was elite.

Now he's a shell of that.

          At 19 fights ..
          vS Record Result boxrec rating
          Crawford Sidney Siqueira 19 6 1 TKO 2*
          Ortiz jr Egidijus Kavaliauskas 22 1 1 TKO 4* (only 18 fights)
          Ennis Samuel Amoako 23 17 0 TKO 1*
          Benn Chris Algieri 25 3 0 TKO 4*
          Errol Spence Alejandro Barrera 26 2 0 TKO 2*

Looks a good fight to me (not saying its the best fight in the world, or boxrec is perfect)

.. and rant away .. first one to mention eye test wins ,,
one thing BoxREC doesn't mention or can't calculate is promoter influence. Andrade and Ennis have minor level promoters so they struggle to get the big fights so they have to fight a lot to work their way up the Org. lists to mandatory status. Whats with the TKO 4 by Benn - Algieri - is that your prediction?

Algieri was a 6 but probably a 3.5 now due to age and especially inactivity.
So it'll be none of those three for his next fight hahaha! Wonder how they are going to be able to move him forward after algieri?
            thanks.

I'm not sure they will immediately. His promoters job is to clean up all the money on the table first so they'll be really shooting for the winner of Brook/Khan.
If he gets past Algieri and lets say Brook then he'll be a big enough name in the US that he might be able to entice one of the Garcias to fight him and that'd still be winnable and then he'd be 'established'

He is the same level as Ortiz jr. and Boots so far.

Funny, people hype American guys fighting gatekeepers, but they trash Benn for the same reason. Delusional American casuals.

Yes, I can definitely see them trying to max out the rewards with Khon- Broke winner. Where from there is a dilemma though? Mikey going back to 140, whilst Danny probably going to 154??
                    Thanks.

It's weird how nationalistic people get when analysing competition. Boots should be fighting for a title or at the very least an eliminator. He was a 58-3 amateur and now 28-0 as a pro. He should have much bigger fish to fry than Conor Benn.

Benn on the other hand, 22 fight amateur, and 19-0 as a pro, so about half the total experience.

Even if you disregard the amateur experience. Compare like for like competition at the same stage in the pros... In fights 18-20 Benn has been fighting gatekeepers with a combined record of 77-17. Ennis on the hand for those fights fought guys with a combined 62-36-4.

I do want to see Benn fight a contender/champion for a regional title next, somebody looking up their career rather than down. But, people shouldn't pretend that Boots was taking on higher quality opponents at the same stage of development because it's BS.
