Why couldn't Floyd shut up about Canelo??

Stop acting like that exhibition was something to be proud of. The exhibition vs the Paul bro was half the price of Canelo/Plant, on a Sunday and versus an extremely famous youtuber. Canelo's fight was at $80, did 800,000 on the same night UFC's biggest fight card was on. Fraud/Paul did 1 million buys at $50, Canelo/Plant 800K at $80. Do the math, which fight made more? While we're at it Canelo/Plant's live gate was $17million, what was Fraud/Paul's live gate?
No. As another poster pointed out he only goes on these rants the week of fights. This is done to draw attention.
Collectively, I would gather all those citing his insecurities have taken probably 12 hours of college level psychology credits combined. I can’t take that opinion too seriously.
You and others will always spin it in the worst possible way when it’s Floyd. You refuse to use common sense because that would mean not criticizing him.
let’s be real- The guys you like couldn’t beat him so you have to get back at him somehow someway. Is what it is.
This is the new thing from you and the other Canelo race baiters- jealousy that a Mexican is the cash cow.
LMFAO. No one is upset. You guys just use that whenever someone points out either a, Floyd’s ppv exhibition outsold canelo v plant or b, whenever his steroid use is brought up or c, Floyd beat canelo.
Sorry HOF but those are facts. Pointing them out doesn’t mean a black poster or anyone is jealous that Canelo is the cash cow.
Canelo is a great boxer. He just isn’t greater than Floyd. Floyd chooses to remind him of that. It’s not that big a deal other than those insecure Canelo fans and Floyd haters that desperately want Floyd to fail at something.
Fraud/Paul was viewed by a million homes in the US? Canelo who isn't American was viewed by 800,000 in a country that's not his and in his native country of Mexico, was viewed by 20 million homes. So exactly why would anyone be mad about that measly exhibition fight? Come to think of it, with those Mexico numbers, the Canelo/Plant fight was neither out viewed nor outsold.Comment

No one on PBC island commands the amount of money and attention that Canelo does, that's what has Floyd bent out of shape. Floyd isn't jealous, he's angry that he had a hand in creating the monster that Canelo has become. Canelo went to PBC, got a humongous purse, took Plant's title and kept it moving. Davis will most likely never have the ability to move like that, nor will Floyd even allow him to try.
The money that PBC invested in Canelo, anyone else believe that some of that could've been earmarked for Davis? That could also explain Floyd's bitterness.Last edited by kiaba360; 12-08-2021, 02:04 PM.Comment

Not true. Did you not see how terrible he looked against Paul? Before the fights all his fangirls were like "eazy money, why yall mad?, big payday for our hero"
He does have a huge ego but what you said made no sense, he hates that he isn't the face of boxing?
Then why did he retire? He would have been favored vs Thurman, or Bradley. The top 147 guys were stilling climbing the ranks or not in the division yet.
Hell he could have kept doing exhibitions vs MMA/Boxing guys and steal the spotlight.
I think he loves to talk about himself but I don't think he cares about being the face of boxing, I think he is enjoying easy money and not doing training camps
Then when he looked like an idiot they flip flopped and said "he wuz fighting ah cruzerweight, Paul was 3 wait classes bigga".
All the steroids took a toll on froid.Comment

How many other greats are messing about fighting YouTubers?
He’s done 2 exhibitions since January 1 2018- Tenshin and Paul. That surely doesn’t equate to “missing the spotlight”, does it?
Floyd and ODH are promoters. They likely reason, which makes sense, that their fans are also fans of the fighters they employ.
when they promote those boxers they fall back on the things they feel resonates with fans.
As the dude who responded to Coppinger pointed out, Floyd was trying to bring attention to the Tank fight.
How much time during this event did he talk about Canelo?
Saying he is jealous of Canelo sounds good, I just don’t know if the facts support that conclusion.
Are you really denying Floyd still wants the spotlight?
C’mon man, this is a multimillionaire who does double glazing adverts. The man constantly craves attention.Comment

Floyd attacking Canelo, Lenny attacking Eddie Hearn. Its real feminine it sorta stinks of jealousy of how well both are doing right now. They want Tank to be the number 1 guy, infact Floyd still wants Floyd to be the number 1 guy.Comment

Others will never get the chance. Like Ali fighting Antonio Inoki the wrestler.
Does he want the spotlight? Maybe. But that doesn’t mean everything he does can be forced into that narrative.
That’s my point regarding this rant. Given the context it clearly wasn’t that he just out of the blue talked about canelo. It seemed calculated to bring media attention to one of his events.
Is he starved for media attention or is he using the media to project an image he feels helps his bottom line?Comment

You are proving my point. Look at how outraged you are because I pointed out something true.

Why would anyone be mad? Canelo anti black pole smokers like you are mad because those numbers give credence to the argument some make that Floyd is still the cash cow. Since you can’t refute the numbers, you guys have decided to run with blacks are jealous.
Otherwise no one is upset. No one is mad. The really sad thing is the guys you and the other Mexican racists say hates canelo being the cash cow were the same posters that ethered **** em and the other British cuckery that tried to say AJ was the cash cow.
I guess you forgot that part.Comment

He definitely still craves the spotlight IMO.
