    How Good is Derevenchenko Really

He lost to Adames, that is a bad look for GGG who got whooped by him worse than anyone ever whooped him before. Is this because Dervenchenko is overrated or is he just washed up? He did take a lot of punches in the GGG and Charlo fight but not career ending punishment in my opinion.

Quite simply he is a good fighter, not a great one.

      1. GGG beat him. It was a 6-6 fight but Derevyanchenko hit the canvas, so he took the L.
      2. Derevyanchenko is 36 and fought 3 brutal wars with Charlo, GGG, and Jacobs
      3. He has had 410 amateur fights and 24 World Series of Boxing fights before his 17 pro fights
      4. Adames is a solid fighter

      He's shop worn.

6-6 is a fair scorecard however I don believe it speaks poor of GGG that he only won 6 rounds against this guy

I do rate Derev as a fighter. Should have went to pro sooner to build up his brand, but it did not happen. He misses thundering power, but he is good at putting shots together, is strong, technical and approaches the game like a true professional. His bout with G gave a glimpse of what could have been, but at that point he was not in his physical prime.

Mileage counts in boxing. Since his war with Golovkin he had a war with Charlo, then was inactive for 18 months. He’s 36 not 26.

Good fighter. Type of fighter that other fighters have to beat to prove that they're worthy for top level competition

Gotta have these type of fighters in all weight classes. Use them as a "test"

He was a good fighter. That's it. He was just used as the boogeyman for golovkin since the idiots claimed ggg was ducking him.

It was an off night for GGG and the best night of Derevyanchenko's career and Golovkin still won.

Given how Derevyanchenko looked against Jacobs prior and Charlo after, I don't think it was all that bad.

We'll see how Golovkin looks against Murata if that fight ever comes off. Hopefully someone like Charlo, Andrade, Lara, Adames, Janibek, or Eubank if he beats Murata.

He is that level below elite where he probably won't beat any of the top guys but will be a tough out regardless.
