I have videos where Lopez showed NO SIGN of ANY TEAR near Lungs. He screams into Kambosos poster "I'M GONNA EAT YOU! I'M GONNA EAT YOU IN ONE HOUR!!! I CAN'T WAIT!"

He got that trauma by a legal punch in the ring. GTFO with such excuses. It didn't stop him to claim all that trash about him winning the fight into the mic.
One more thing! When you have a brutal 12 round fight and doctor says it is quite possible you got 300lbs on your chest against breathing BEFORE THE FIGHT you know this is no doctor, he has his OWN game in the mind.
Does seem a lil far fetch for them to be using it as an excuse given the fact that Teo said he won the fight right after. He didn't lose to Kambo because of some breathing issue, he lost because he fought the same way he always does and Kambo had better boxing skills than him..

I just read the article on it in ESPN. The one doctor who diagnosed him (and a former ringside physician for the NYSAC) said that it wouldn't be noticed during pre-fight medical exams.

According to the ESPN article, Two states he had a flareup of symptoms after the weigh in when they went to Carmine's restaurant for a meal. He said he thought it was acid reflux and he felt the need to burp and his neck began to swell. I'm assuming he thought some of the issues, if they in fact occurred, to be a result of his asthma or the acid reflux.

Lol I'm not so sure on that I believe Native Americans have one of the highest rates of asthma and it's due to smoking. I've smoked hookah before it's a ****load of smoke and burns really hot it can't be beneficial. I don't disagree that they used it for asthma back in the day but I think it was more so a placebo or something they thought was helping.

Yea,sounds suspect to me as well. "It was like he was fighting with 300lbs of weights tied to his chest" ??? What a load of horseshiet. Having lost Crawford ,it looks like the bobfather called in a couple favors for some much needed damage control to salvage one of his few remaining "star"'s career.

After the fight they said he had breathing issues. The issues were from a tear to his esophagus. Nothing was detected in pre-fight. Nobody said it wasn't caused in the fight, nor was any evidence presented which would say it was likely there before the fight.

(They were careful to include that the tear "could have" been there before the fight and might not have been detected. That's not the same, since, after catching a beatdown, most people would just sensibly assume that the beatdown did it.)

I call BS. Dude got beat, bad. GK tore his esophagus. Lopez took a post-fight medical exam and twisted it to be an excuse.

                  True, I could be wrong.

But it seems like the new trend in boxing is excuses. Either they have an excuse not to fight or, if they fight, reserve the excuses for after the fight. It's just like I said with Loma; I'm a fan, but if you decided to fight, then don't bring up the shoulder afterward.

They want me to believe that this tear cause huge breathing problems and almost killed him, and that it could have been there already? Um, then wouldn't he have noticed it? I'm not on board.

quality post...it comes from 'blunt trauma' ie kambosos did that to him.

Lol Yeah, maybe you are right about that. Some snake oil ****. And you are right about the Hookah. Too much smoke. Felt as if I ****** in a fireball. They have hookah bars around here. Now, if they did it like they do in Afghanistan, well then ...

We have two credible doctors who reviewed his records post-fight and offered their insight. The question is, when did Teo suffer this injury? Pre-fight, during fight, post-fight? Was he struggling to breath at any time during training camp?
