The dad is a horrible role model for the kid... I hate to use woke words... but the term "toxic" applies here.

If you step into the ring you leave all your excuses on the outside. If you're not ready to fight, don't fight.

I don't care about distractions, mental health problems, bad weight cuts, preexisting injuries, trainer changes, or any other excuses fighters like to make when they get beaten. Once you step into the ring you live with the results forever.

How many more excuses are we gonna make for that puto?

The guy came out doing his best Hector Camacho impression to the ring and tried channeling Mike Tyson in that first round. He looked perfectly fine just got dropped, outboxed, and humbled by a highly determined boxer who showed up to rip his belts away.

Exactly. Imagine being around that dude or even his dad for more than 5 minutes at a time.

But have you guys always been your peak selves at work after a bad breakup? I know I sure haven't.

(I'm talking to the guys that aren't ******* still living in the basement, obviously.)

Floyd was always having women problems and he still retired undefeated.

No doubt, a bad break up (is there such a thing as a good one?) can mess with your head. That said, even back when Lopez beat Lomachenko, I wasn't impressed. Loma took off for the first half of the fight and schooled Teofimo in the second half. He said he had an injured shoulder, which would explain his reluctance to engage. If that's true, then that means "The takeover" couldn't finish a one-armed man. He merely won on points due to Vasyl's lack of output for 6 rounds.
