Of course he thinks it's a threat to Boxing. If he wouldn't think it has a threat he wouldn't try copy some of what the UFC is doin.

You mean like the UFC copied the countdown shows and even the 24/7's? Or how they copied the blue print to the contender and made TUF?

It's smart of Arum to copy what works in MMA just like the UFC copies what works in Boxing, Arum is an old millionaire that is financially set. I think MMA/UFC getting big is actually burning a flame in his ass to finally start doing the right things for the sport instead of raping it like he's been doing for awhile.

Arum is Right

Boxing and UFC are completely different. UFC is of no threat for Boxing!!! Boxing has been around for Ages and it will continue to be for a very very long time. It's gonna take more than a bunch of untalented, violent,steroid pumping primates to kill boxing. Boxing is a refined art. That's what it is. Some people appreciate the many aspects of a boxing match where others just want to see some bum knock out or choke out another bum.

The most interesting part TO ME was Bob's tacit admission of the inflation of PPV numbers. He should know - Arum does it ALL the time.

If HBO releases a number, you can be pretty sure it's true. If Arum releases a number, it is inflated.

The UFC is not as exciting as a good boxing fight, but there is room for both....Bob arum should keep his mouth shut as HE is ONE of the Problems with boxing today!
