What he is decrying is the lack of diversity in the MMA crowd. Poorly worded, but true.
If you think about it, there is an "MMA culture". And it (largely) revolves around white guys with tats, shaved heads, and Affliction or TapOut clothing. You know it when you see it.
There is no "boxing culture". boxing is much more diverse. It can be Jay-Z or Helen Mirren. It can be Bert Sugar or Max Kellerman. Boxing is much broader.
