You know, some might say that Arum maybe senile and not know what the hell he is talking about but really he isn't not far from the truth.

I don't hate MMA and do watch the occasional event at bars...the fighters truly are junk compared to boxers. Glass chins, wide looping punches...

Nothing beats out the sweet science of boxing.

The great thing about MMA is that the comedy level is raised as far as how fighters get caught with some of the most outlandish shots like Superman punches, flying knees, flying elbows, spinning reverse elbow shots, etc, etc.

It's even more interesting watching guys get cold ****ed and falling to the canvas twitching. But that's what fans really watch the MMA for. The brutal endings.

And unpredictable funny shyt like this...

well I've been to a bar or two to watch the UFC

and what I've picked up on is most of the audience are white males 18-30.
Yeh, that's probably true as well, but I didn't want to say it was just white guys like ol' Bob because I haven't met enough MMA fans. The ones I have met are white, middle-class twentysomethings with short attention spans, but I might have only met them because I'm a white middle-class twentysomething!

I agree. It's trash to me for the most part but I can't help tuning in for the big fights. The best action I've seen was when Silva put on a clinic against Griffin...a BOXING clinic.

the problem in boxing is that there's too much Greed when it comes to money that's why a lot good fights are not made and also ****ty under cards you have one possible good fight and the rest sucks most of the time. Boxing is still in my opinion the best sport but like Arum say's they need to look at how UFC promote their brand and I'm sure Boxing will over shadow their competition.

If Boxing can get it's act together with givin the fans what they want, then no doubt alot more fans will watch again.

The UFC gives it's fans what it wants...Boxing gives us one big fight we want every couple of months and that is on the decline too. the UFC give it's fans atleast 2 big fights on it's card each event.

That's the dilemma. In boxing, good quality fights are few and far between.

Just goes to show that people will watch fights as long as they're being entertained. Many don't care if it's MMA or boxing.

Both MMA and boxing have they're pros and cons, though.
