How many world titles have the 2 nobodies that beat Cruz ever won? Absolutely zero they never even came to close to even sniffing one. Salido was a multi time champ, beat some very good fighters along the way. Porky or Cruz would have gone nowhere near Salido in their 2nd pro fight. Losing to Gamboa at the time Salido did was nothing to be ashamed of, he didn't get to fight the shot version Porky did. Mikey also went on to be a 4 division champion again nothing to be ashamed of there. Cruz however lost to a guy who is15-8 and drew with a guy with more losses than wins. At least you aren't defending the fact that Porky is being protected and this garbage fight is no different.

Salido was old and shot, and he still beat Loma! You can't defend that! Pitbull is ranked higher than Loma by the IBF, so you have to accept that! Tank fighting Pitbull is the same as Loma fighting Commey, and it's for the same reason too! Loma could've easily fought Haney for his WBC title, but Arum wanted an in-house fight, just like Floyd! If one fight is garbage, so is the other!

People are always shhting on the ABC organizations and there rankings, but you will go by their rankings when it suits your debate.

Fact is Cruz is not a good fighter for someone of Tanks supposed stature. He was a quick fill in and to have this fight still as a PPV is utterly ridiculous. It will get GGG 95k numbers.

He’s a tune up type fighter. He’s not someone Stank should be fighting on PPV. And no Stank is not at that level where whoever he fights it should be on PPV.

All those fighters you mentioned are 2nd and 3rd tier fighters. So Stanks excuse for fighting these lower level guys is because everyone else is.

As a fighter that PEDweather promotions is trying to turn into a PPV fighter he opponents need to reflect top level.

b-level fighter in a ppv main event. It’s another huge mismatch where absolutely NOBODY will be picking Cruz to win. Whats the point of this fight at this point in Davis career? Could see this as a bounce-back fight after a loss. And Cruz or Rolly would not be the opponent if they were not HISPANIC fighters. Davis against a b-level black or white fighter would not sell on ppv….would lose the huge Hispanic fanbase.

Again who would fight Salido in their 2nd pro fight? Certainly not Porky. For the record he was 9-3 going into that fight far from shot. Is Loma/Commey a PPV? Nope. You have to accept Mayweather didn't want Porky anywhere near Loma. But he lost to Salido!! As you continue to say so why did Mayweather not want that fight? You have to accept the fact that Cruz still lost to a guy with a lousy record and drew with a guy with more losses than wins. Porky could also have fought Haney they offered the fight when Rolly pulled out. Mayweather doesn't just want to keep it in house he wants to protect Porky.

You get it, but you don't like it! Have you ever seen a co-promotion between UFC and Bellator? What about McDonald's and Burger King? You ever see the NCAA Football Championship on FOX and ABC? Tank vs. GRJ should've happened! I know Cruz brings a different audience, but damn! Spence vs. Crawford should've happened! I know Pacquiao brings a different audience, but damn!

The point though surely is that the best fights aren't being made as a result of these promoters and its not right. I see fighters out there that want the best fights and can't get them and probably have to leave and jump ship. It's disgusting. Some promoters are genuinely not trying. Their putting up road block after road block. It's the fans that suffer as well as the fighters, and yet their still willing to take the fans money for fights they don't want, but are daft enough to pay for as its their favourite fighter. Exploitation I think they call it. The fighters have to stand up for themselves and remind the promoter that they're the boss and the promoter works for them.

No one is forcing you to buy the PPV! If you're happy watching Loma vs. Commey, or Lopez vs. Kambosos, or Haney vs. Jo Jo, watch them! I just ask people to be consistent! Cruz is on par with Jo Jo, Nakatani, Commey, Kambosos, and Luke Campbell! Keep the same energy!

I don't like the word protected either pal, but it sums it up I feel. Those match ups you mention are all great fights, but they're all also in-house. Now that's fine. But you still have to make the best fights. So why line Gervonta up against Romero/Cruz, when he could have GRJ? Gervonta has been division hopping and that's because of a lack of in-house options. He should be fighting in one division and trying to clean it out. Crawford, Taylor, Usyk and Canelo stylee for example. Division hopping ( which I'm not a fan of ) is only acceptable when your fighting the very best, and that unfortunately is not the case here. I get what your saying about the networks handing out cash, and your completely right, but the co-promotions need to happen much more often. And I get that sometimes people are not gonna agree, but to not even try? Now that I just don't get.

I would love Tank vs. GRJ, but let's not act like this site wouldn't explode if Tank was fighting a Featherweight Champion! Haters going to hate! I just want people to be consistent!
