it being “unprecedented” is that Loma beat 3 undefeated champions and won 4 titles in different weight classes in just 15 pro fights! Thats whats “unprecedented”.Losing a close fight to a rugged former champ in ur 2nd pro fight …nobody takes on a 2nd pro fight like that. And Lopez - is a p4p fighter after Loma..very skilled with power and had a good size advantage. No shame in that one.

Nobody stays in the Amateur ranks until they're 25, unless they have to flee their country on a raft! Nobody was calling Teofimo Lopez a "P4P" fighter before he beat Loma! Just imagine what people would call Berlanga if he lost to Danny Jacobs! Imagine what they would call Boots if he lost to Keith Thurman! What if Vergil Ortiz Jr. lost to Mikey Garcia right now? Would they say, "They lost to a rugged former champion.." What if Fury lost to Jared Anderson? Just compare the scrutiny of Tank vs. LSC in comparison to Loma vs. Rigo! Loma gets "unprecedented" treatment!it being “unprecedented” is that Loma beat 3 undefeated champions and won 4 titles in different weight classes in just 15 pro fights! If enough people DON'T buy these fights TMT will soon get the message. Money comes first, second and third in this business.Comment

i guess you have never heard the term quality over quantity before? salido was ranked #2 and it was a close fight. lopez was ranked #2 and it was a close fight. that along with a very good list of wins could explain it. ennis has no quality wins so that would explain his exclusion on the list.Maybe Boots should be on that list too? Somehow, I don't think he'll make it? In fact, I don't know of any 33 year olds with 2 losses in only 17 fights would be on that list! It's really unprecedented if you give it some thought! Just ask yourself, how does a P4P fighter lose to 34 year old Salido, and a 23 year old in only his 15th professional fight? What other fighter would have that on his resume, and still be considered "A-Level?"Comment

the reason lots of non americans stay amateur longer is the amateurs/olympics is their ticket to landing a good promotional deal. they dont throw deals at random eastern euros because they are so much harder to market and promote. they want the sure thing. they are on two completely different career tracts. americans have the option of turning pro earlier, that isnt really an option for most eastern euros. who is going to promote them? no one. how are they going to get fights? oh they wont. getting amateur attention is the only way.Nobody stays in the Amateur ranks until they're 25, unless they have to flee their country on a raft! your comparisons are so strange. imagine if ennis had 10 top wins and lost a super close fight to a top ranked fighter? yeah he would still be pretty good! according to you he would be a bum? thats weird.
you are comparing rigo to santa cruz? why lol. rigo was a top 5 p4p guy when loma fought him. i personally didnt like the fight but also at the same time rigo fans and anti loma haters seemed to want it, then afterwards it was a cherry pick according to those same people who wanted it? kind of silly but expected. no one wanted a santa cruz tank fight.Last edited by daggum; 11-24-2021, 08:12 PM.Comment

once again - in his SECOND pro fight! I stated Teo is now a p4p fighter after Loma. And Loma/Rigo was considered a legit high level pick em fight bc Rigo was considered top p4p by most at the time and still in his prime. NOBODY was picking Pillow-fisted past it LSC - who had not had a ko in almost FIVE yrs prior to fighting Davis!! No comparison - just like the rest of the above ridiculous comparisons. Loma is still on all p4p list made by writers and expert insiders - deal with it! As Floyd famously said a few yrs ago - “Tank aint ready for Loma yet”…that after Davis was already a champ! Wont be ready until Loma is 40! Even on this site itself - which has pbc affiliated writers - Loma is still ranked #10 p4p. Davis doesn’t make the list bc his level of competition throughout his career is so WEAK and pitiful - especially this far into his career. Write to Boxingscene, or Ring magazine or Espn with all your “what ifs” and personal issues with Loma being a top p4p A-level fighter even now. Am sure u know more than the experts, insiders, writers who actually get paid for their boxing knowledge and expertise.Nobody stays in the Amateur ranks until they're 25, unless they have to flee their country on a raft! Not only that but critics want to gloss over the fact that Salido missed weight by 2lbs,came in at nearly 150lbs and repeatedly treated Lomas nuts like a speedbag. Andre Ward was probably envious of that shiet. And Salido was one of my favorite fighters, the way he beatdown Juanma will forever hold a place in my heart lol but the dude was dirty asf that fight. Can't knock it I guess.once again - in his SECOND pro fight! I stated Teo is now a p4p fighter after Loma. likewise about Salido…if any of those young fighters “Bronx4425” mentions had lost to an older former champ and then went on to beat 3 top tier in their prime undefeated champions while winning 4 titles in 4 different weights in their next 12 fights, then pretty safe to assume the 2nd pro fight split decision loss to the former champ would pretty much be insignificant at that point. Problem is it had NEVER been done before in that number of pro fights until Loma - and will NEVER be done again!! Some people just dont get it or are just permanently stuck in denial.

Salido was a shell of his former self @ 34, and Teofimo was a Baby! If any other fighter had lost to those 2, they would not be considered an "A-Level" fighter! However, since it's Lomachenko, it's all good.
