Is Andrade, Benevidez,Charlo, Beterbieve, Bivol famous because they've actually done something impressive,or are they merely only getting attention because Canelo happens to fight near their weightclass?

Would those 5 names have even a fraction of the hype if Canelo wasn't near their weightclass?(or would they be irrelevant to casuals like the CW division?)

Canelo fighting Makabu is a far tougher fight than Andrade’s ever taken.

Andrade is full of sh**, he’s just desperate for a pay day.

Andrade is a nobody and will retire a nobody.

How bout Andrade go up two weight classes and fight the weakest champion?

I think Charlo has his own standing and q-rating. He's been in GQ magazine and has had his own PPV.

Beterbiev is Beterbiev. Fights infrequently and sometimes against underwhelming opposition (e.g. Kolling and Dienes) but I don't think he kinda stands on his own with or without Canelo.

I'd say the rest (Benavidez, Bivol and Andrade) seem more "desperate" for a bigger moment that they haven't created on their own. I feel like they are trying to hitch themselves to Canelo's star more than Charlo or Beterbiev (although I'm sure they'd welcome the payday and opportunity).

I am a boo boo fan but its hard to defend him lately. He does too much talking and he is fighting absolute tomato cans. washed fighters are rewarded with a chance to fight for his belt .Eddie has done a horrible disservice to the boy and i rarely come on here and diss Eddie, even though he is a twat

Never really noticed that but he’s right. Charlo the exception, the rest…especially Bivo and Beterbiev would be complete unknowns.

Not even the greatest of the ATGs fought nothing but great fighters. The difference is that they mix in some tough opponents. Andrade doesn’t do that.

Still not clear at what weight this fight will be at, 190 or 200. At 200 this is a very good fight, at 190, not that good.

The real irony about Koelling being one of Beterbiev’s worst opponents is that was the fight Beterbiev won the IBF championship. He was mandatory to Andre Ward. Ward retired, and Beterbiev had to fight for a vacant belt.

awful fight to watch too. Koelling ran all fight.

If you wouldn’t have any idea who the unified LHW champion is without Canelo, you’re not a boxing fan. You’re a groupie.
