At 34, time is not really on Terence Crawford's side as he looks to make his way up the imaginary lists of all-time greats and while Shown Porter might not feature so prominently he will affectionally be part of the conversation because of what he's done in his 35 professional fights.

lol. Crawford is nowhere near an ATG. In a few years he will be forgotten. Porter has a great heart, but he's lost everytime he stepped up.

Lol I read the full article for some context, before assuming the title meant that Crawford is an ATG and Porter is a great fighter. But I actually am still lost.

You can't be an all-time great with what Crawford did in his career.

This guy hid behind Bob Arum, chasing one fight, vs Pacquiao, and never even got that fight. Chasing a past-prime great. While facing no-hoper after no-hoper. Resigning with TR, again, chasing a unicorn. Fighting nobody. All the top 10 WW's were with PBC, he avoided signing with PBC. Even Pacquiao grew tired of Top Rank and their lack of good challenges and left to PBC. The past prime great that Crawford was chasing, went across the street for better competition.

Crawford has some good 147 names on his resume. Amir Khan, Kell Brook, and Shawn Porter (if he beats him). The problem with these names are that Khan was no longer ranked in TBRB or The Ring's top 10 welterweights. Neither was Kell Brook. So, two out of Crawford's best 3 names at 147 were not even seen as the part of top 10 best at the weight class.

With Porter, Crawford is fighting the first ever top 5 ranked fighter of a weight class since he fought Viktor Postol. Postol was 2016. Crawford just went 5 years without facing a top 5 fighter. Media/writers still ranked Crawford very highly, without him even doing anything special at all.

Well remember, Crawford "Beat The Man Who Beat The Man " (his words) and based on that win, he's a lock for HOF (his words).
