The Rules do suggest an interim champion does get 45 % though . Of course this is the WBC somehow they have worded many things to where in the end it’s to their discretion . Basically looking at the rules these guys made a sanctioning body where they don’t have to actually apply ,it’s pretty impressive .

Unless they're like the WBO, pulling out some far flung rule...
It's the WBC. They reserve the right to change things. Their hands are never really tied.

I think the question isn't whether they can change it... it's why they would change it in this instance?

And I'm assuming the answer is that their champion is threatening to drop the belt.

I'll guess that arbitration will get Whyte a better split. Maybe not 45% but better than 25%. Then Fury will walk away by dropping the belt or by being made Franchise Champion.

Looks like we better get set for Fury vs someone from the retirement home. If Whyte’s not on the agenda, no way in hell he’s fighting, e.g, Joyce with undisputed round the corner.

Told you all.... Whyte doesn't really want this fight.... just like he didn't want a title shot against AJ.

Blames things like pay, and takes a fight for 20 times less... lol

Garbage Whyte and his 1 win winning streak doesn't even deserve 15%

No one is easy fight for Whyte. Marius wach took him 12 rounds recently. A 40 year old ko'd him 1 fight ago, 2 fights ago midget rivas dropped him...

Before Fury fought Wilder, who would you rather watch (Fury or Whyte)? Go and look at some sky sports buys number and you would see that some fights Whyte headlined brought considerably good numbers whereas Fury has been a long time low number fighter!

Fury wasn't really known like that even after he won Klitschko. When he fought seferi and panieta for his come-back how many fans really cared? After he fought Wilder the first time, he then signed a nice deal with ESPN and that was why u saw good money he earned. When he fought schwarz and wallin how many people turned up to watch him fight them? After he beat Wilder in the second fight he tried to fight Kabayel at December that year ending and fans didn't even care.

But check this out anytime Dillain Whyte turn up to fight win or lose fans turn up to watch coz they know it will be fireworks. That was why I said IMO Dillain Whyte is a bigger draw coz despite the fact that he hasn't won a major belt he still one to watch coz fans will want to see some suspense.

Fury is about to blow away his opportunity to be a big major must-see. AJ is about to fight Usyk so we don't know who would turn out to be the Winner. If AJ turn out to win I believe he will carry that fight and be the A-side. So apart from Joshua, the fight to bring Fury a quality payday is actually Dillain Whyte and Dillain actually makes one enjoy fight even in the press conference and face to face Dillain is fun to watch. So if Fury ****s up and decide to fight an easy voluntary defence fight let say Kabayel how many turn up of fans do you think will want to watch that?

So in this Fury-Whyte negotiation, true Fury should be the A-side but Whyte should earn considerably more coz he will give a fan friendly fight.
Whyte has few fans, most boxing fans turn up to his fights hoping to see him carried out of ring on a stretcher. Not to see him win.

Few people like a loud mouth ducker like Whyte.

Numerous peds issues, ducking world title shots, getting ko'd by retirees hasn't helped his popularity. Anyone with half a brain knows he's a big talker who doesn't back it up.

If Whyte is asking for more than 35% (with no intention of settling for lower), he’s pricing himself out

70/30 seems **** on for these two. Whyte was only just knocked out senseless by Povetkin
