Having a belt at a higher weight class is earning it. Charlo hasn't earned sh.it. Benavidez even less. Charlo, Andrade and Benavidez had the perfect opportunity to earn it during the summer by fighting Plant in May.

Charlo or Andrade had the perfect opportunity to become get FOTY if they had done this scenario: if they would've each other in Jan/Feb, then the winner vs Plant in May and then Canelo in the fall. If they would've come out the winner in those fights, they would've been the man at both divisions (160 & 168) and gotten all the money and glory. Instead, Andrade is continuing to waste away and Charlo is out there fighting waitresses and credit card machines, while people like you are crying about Canelo's decisions and giving Andrade and Charlo a pass.

My man with all due respect, you might even go as far as to defend Canelo should he slap you with a “no, it was my fault” it’s ok for your guy to be doing moves fans don’t like just like it’s our right to not defend everything he does. Arguments over fighters being right or wrong are a matter of opinion and usually your opinion is respected more when you aren’t known as a cheerleader of the guy, sig pic doesn’t help much either. Sulaiman, not saying he's a bad guy, but insulting our intelligence. Makabu was KO'd by Bellew, who's not in Canelo's class.

Canelo beats this guy, and Breidis and Okolie. Benavidez and Beterbiev, on the other hand, are much tougher opposition, even though a lower weight division than cruiserweight. Don't be fooled.

Name anyone is recent history with a run of quality fights that Canelo has been on the past 18-24 months?

Ok wise guy I will name three. Jermall went through a murders row of: Montiel, Derevyanchenko, Dennis Hogan, and Brandon Adams. Better than that Benevidez fought Kyrone Davis, Ellis, Angulo, Dirrell, and J. Leon Love for good measure! To top it off, Boo Boo Andrade fought Liam Williams, Luke Keeler, Sulecki, and Artur Akavov. This sure beats the tomato cans and crossing guards that Canelo Alvarez has been feasting on the past 3 years.

Taking on tough challenges is now jumping through hoops? Taking on multiple tough opponents is jumping through hoops? You really content with Charlo, Andrade and Benavidez fighting nobodies and waiting on that Canelo lotto ticket?

What's going to stop Charlo from fighting Andrade and Benavidez next now that Canelo is done at 168, at least for the next year? When is Charlo going to do anything? When is Benavidez going to do anything? When is Andrade going to do anything? Canelo is a nonissue now that he's going to fight in May against Makabu. So when can we expect the Charlo/Benavidez/Andrade round robin?

Canelo earned the Makabu fight. He just unified an entire division, while everyone else was fighting nobodies only once a year or being undisciplined slobs, not making weight and losing their belts.

Yea right , Sulaiman is really stunned and shocked over the request. I've heard everything now. But , ok, they say, fight the cruiserweight. Why ? Because the cruiserweight is no threat at all. He's a cheap paper champion who happens to have one of the zillion belts out there. Canelo walks around at 190-95. Canelo just going after another cheap paper belt that makes him look like some super duper legend. Nobody inside the boxing scene with half a pea in his skull is falling for it. And don't listen to fighters themselves that think they are geniuses. There's no dumber people on earth than boxers themselves. Don't listen to the Bradley's , the Ward's , the Malignaggi's . Don't listen to all the stiffs and promoters from Britain that have been beat by Canelo or want to promote Canelo. The bottom line is Canelo is beating on stiffs. Stiffs with belts.
