So now, what exactly has this guy done other than get stopped early by Bellew? Apparently all you need to be is a vulnerable fighter with a belt and you’re automatically eligible.
Having a belt at a higher weight class is earning it. Charlo hasn't earned sh.it. Benavidez even less. Charlo, Andrade and Benavidez had the perfect opportunity to earn it during the summer by fighting Plant in May.

Charlo or Andrade had the perfect opportunity to become get FOTY if they had done this scenario: if they would've each other in Jan/Feb, then the winner vs Plant in May and then Canelo in the fall. If they would've come out the winner in those fights, they would've been the man at both divisions (160 & 168) and gotten all the money and glory. Instead, Andrade is continuing to waste away and Charlo is out there fighting waitresses and credit card machines, while people like you are crying about Canelo's decisions and giving Andrade and Charlo a pass.

Alvarez following the Mayweather cherry picking playbook of fighting someone you know you'll beat.Yes Ilunga's record looks good with the KOs,but mainly consists of tomato cans and car salesmen.Losing to Bellew confirms he is just not that good because Bellew wasn't.

Name anyone is recent history with a run of quality fights that Canelo has been on the past 18-24 months?

Maybe, but you're saying its about Mexican heritage, right? I know the man's Mexican, but I doubt nationalistic solidarity is enough to ensure these guys are getting favoured, and with all due respect, I reckon the users on the site are far too hung up on such.

This guy is one of many boxing parasi... I mean, officials, that would sell their grandma, their kids and their pet tortoise into slavery if it meant high revenue streams. I doubt nationality matters as much as the commercial incentive. Unless you're saying he has a commercial incentive to boost Mexican boxing? Am I missing something: is does he also run some domestic boxing programs that he stands to benefit from?

Like Mayweather is planning his fights. I always wondered why he didn't get all 4 belts at 160. heard he felt tight at the weight.

What he did at 168 was great but felt that the fights were made for him, not his fault thatBenavidez lost his belt. won all the belts and now making his claim for greatness by trying to win a cruiserweight belt.

People want to see him fight Would like to see Charlo vs Benavidez and the winner getting the Canelo fight. If we expect Canelo to fight the toughness fight so should the other fighters.
Yeah, he appeared to, I'm guessing that's partly why he fought far less regularly way back when

You'll see a lot more UDs up at LHW, I reckon. Taking longer and longer to stop opponents.
