The old senile fart is at it again, spewing horse manure.
This fight will at best hit 400k PPV and at worse 300k and I’m being generous.

Neither of these fighters are PPV worthy. Canelo is the PPV king, Plant talked a lot of trash. Both fighters did very well in selling the fight, unintentionally. The scuffle, bad blood made for good tv. That lead to 800k buys.

Canelo on his worst PPV’s has a 350k minimum from his fanbase. Like Mayweather on his worst PPV’s from 2005 to 2015, it was 350k-500k. Gatti, Baldomir, Judah, Berto.

Pacquiao also, while he was still not very popular yet, was headlining PPV’s that sold 300k+. These were career lows. This was a Pacquiao who was not exactly known to casuals yet, had not become an international superstar yet. This was his hardcore fanbase numbers.

Crawford and Porter just keep talking about how they are friends but that they are not friends for this fight. Stop it, man, you guys are friends, period. They are talking, acting like friends during the build up of this fight. They will likely fight like friends too. Probably hold back to not hurt their buddy lol.

Crawford career lows are unknown, I would not be surprised if his low was 10k PPV’s sold. Porter has never headlined a PPV. So idk how Arum can predict 500k, let alone 1.5 million lol.

I think 250-300k would be a very respectable number. Even if that’s considered flopping, or the network/promoters losing money, no profit, etc. I still think 250k-300k would be respectable, and shocking honestly. These two can’t sell the fight. They are not being very good at it. No hype, no bad blood, no promising of a KO in under 3 rounds. It does not matter if fighters exaggerate their predictions.

Fans want to hear the terms: “KO”

Fans want to hear phrases like:

Bud: I am putting you to sleep
Porter: I am not your fcking friend anymore
Bud: You are a little b/tch
Porter: I know you are but what am I!?
Bud: Ask your mom what am I
Porter: Oh yeah? What are you then?
      Bud: I am your dad
Porter: You can’t be a dad if you have no balls
Bud: I have no balls cause your mom swallowed them!
Porter: So you admit you have no balls?
Bud: Yes, I admit your mom ****** my d/ck and ate muh nutsacks
Porter: Did this happen after you fought Postol? Cause after Postol, you have been cherrypicking. Scared as hell.
Bud: Yes, I am cherrypicking you. You are a stepping stone.
Porter: Come say that to my face!
      *Pushing and shoving ensues*

      500k buys guaranteed now.

Never underestimate the power of a lousy undercard. Keeps me away. Canelo-Plant did OK. They were lucky. Great fight but the undercard is underwhelming. At least Don King would give you some good fights between the ads. Not an internet tv guy, have Dish. Love them Showtime free fights. Oh well.

Be surprised if this does 150K. As good of a fight as this is, neither guy is a big attraction.

I think it does as low as 200k as high as 600k . Hopefully fans buy it so promoters can be motivated to work with eachother

This fight has me interested, but not that excited, although I think Porter, even when losing, isn't easy for anyone.

I'd be very excited for Crawford-Ennis and Crawford-Spence of course. Ortiz jr is exciting but I think he'd be knocked out by Bud, Ennis and Spence. This other guy Blair, I don't know how good he could be.

After seeing the Fury vs. Wilder III under card, I was expecting something similar! Unfortunately, that is NOT the case! I'll catch the highlights on YouTube Sunday morning!

All the reasons mentioned why this fight won't do well are true. But there's one more no one talks about.

Nobody believes Porter has a shot

Fights between two boxers with low drawing power can still do reasonably well if the outcome is uncertain.

Since nobody is eager to find out the result, even the hardcore fans won't be rushing to buy this fight.
