I didn't say that I was impressed with the opponent's KO record. I was impressed with Dirrell's one-punch KO. The rest of my post pretty much explains that he shouldn't push for a fight against Canelo. You call the main event one of the biggest PPVs of the year. Is that strictly because Canelo was in it? We all know Caleb Plant couldn't draw flies to shit, and Canelo was heavily favored to win. I don't consider that the makings of one of the biggest PPvs of the year by any stretch.
Caleb couldn’t draw flies to s h I t? Best to do your homework first before making ignorant proclamations. Plant has drawn 2+ million to non ppv television. Benevidez 245k.
Nelo first rematches Golovkin, beats him up again, then Dirrell, this way he can quite all the haters that said he won't fight a prime African American lol, then we will see him maybe once a year. Folks it's been nearly 60 fights and Canelos biggest win was his loss against Floyd. Suck on those factz
I understand, but look I’m from Michigan and don’t even think he deserves a shot or is relevant anymore but that’s just my thoughts.
I see that the Dirrells are disparaged by a lot of people. Given that you're local, is there any particular reason behind the general disliking for them? Aside from their uncle's behavior, I mean.
Anthony is not from the same cloth of his brother Andre. He comes to fight, and he is a decent fighter. I believe he would try to win and get KTFO against Canelo rather than looking pathetic as Smith looked for 12 rounds.
Yes, you're right in regard to Fielding, he did have a minor belt at that time. Still, he deserved the Canelo payday less than Anthony Dirrell.
Tf you talking about? Fieding held the same belt that Tank Davis is currently holding at 135 and 140 right now.
This guy needs to retire for real. He has done nothing to earn this fight, there are far more deserving fighters. He needs to get some decent fights in there before this happen. He should fight Jacobs, Dereychenko, Charlo, somebody with a pulse first.
