2+ million? Which fights were those, pray tell?

You don't regard Fury vs Wilder III as bigger? To me, that fight was bigger, because it was between two HWs who both possess KO power. The fact that it was competitive with both guys tasting the canvas before the KO made it far more exciting and satisfying than Canelo chasing Plant around for 11 rounds and Caleb pot-shotting where he could. Joshua vs Usyk wasn't PPV in the states, but it was also a far more exciting and bigger fight. The power-puncher trying to box vs one of the best boxers in the game, a former CW coming for and taking a HW's crown. My argument is that the other poster suggested that Dirrell fighting on the co-main event was unworthy, because Canelo vs Plant was such a huge PPV event. Again, anyone who knows boxing knew that Canelo would KO Plant. Anyone who actually gave Plant a snowball's chance in hell of winning that fight DKSAB. What's so huge about a fight where 99.99 % of fans and betters knew what the outcome would be?

By golly, you're right, Sir! I stand corrected! I honestly had no idea that Plant was such a huge draw. I saw the Truax fight and remember not being impressed because Truax acted like he didn't really want to be there and Plant still couldn't stop him.

Callum Smith is better than Anthony Dirrell but I will give you Yildirim and Fielding. If Canelo wants to squeeze in a tuneup then Dirrell would be a good opponent.

Dirrell has fought David Benavidez, Badou Jack, Caleb Truax, Sakio Bika among others. Much better quality of opposition than Smith's, at least for my taste.

Smith has been living off his KO of a shot Groves for quite a while, but his actual worth was evident against Canelo.

Smith was able to go the distance against Canelo, something BJS and Plant weren't able to do.

Perhaps because they tried to win the fight, as opposed to merely survive as Smith did...
