Plant is delusional. Plant proved that he's a B Level fighter capable of borrowing a championship belt, but not really doing much with it. No boxer can be pretty dominant, if they can't demonstrate that they have some power against the likes of a Canelo. Plant proved that he doesn't have enough power. Saunders fought a more competitive fight against Canelo than Plant. Perhaps Plant should fight Saunders. The loser should retire - sit next to Carl Froch at the commentary table.

At 28 years old, Plant has two more years to really get to the apex of his ability... and then a few more years to make a statement. To me, I saw a guy who, was not experienced to know enough, when he made it to the tenth round what to do. I know that Canelo won virtually all the rounds, but Plant was competative in many of those rounds, was effective, could even back Canelo up. His mistake was simple: he should have pushed Canelo to fight in the center of the ring, and made Canelo counter him... Let Canelo KO him with a counter, and make Canelo take shots.

Plant showed he could affect Canelo with the jab... if he had more experience he would have known to pick his spots and fire... He was very good defensively but no one can fight going backwards an entire fight.

Plant was able to back Canelo off with a jab... he did show some power, watch the fight again. Plant showed he was inexperienced because he needed to change tactics and really was not able to... But the power was there. Saunders made a great effort but is a middle weight and did not have the power at all.

It is. Canelo admitted he was frustrated. Plant just brought the best out of an ATG. He deserves credit, now or later.

This is how it is in boxing nowadays, sadly.
Going the distance is just the main objective.
The opponent is trying to kill you and all you wanna do is survive.
Then you brag you lasted more than the others.

He proved incredible toughness and skill.

His body needs to recover from 4 training camps & 4 fights that occurred in an 11 month span. I don't give Plant any credit for needing rest. Plant had lots of rest since Truax, and Canelo will be back in the ring before him.

Totally exhausted after the fight? Really? He looked ready to fight another 5 rounds. He was all over him. Take another look, 6-9 he paced himself and still won. 10-12 he was turning it up for the finish.

Let me show you how inexperienced Plant was. Watch the fight again yourself. While he covered up or took his eye off of Canelo, Canelo would pinpoint a part on Plant's body (whether it was the liver, head, side, etc) load up, and land. That was one of Plant's weaknesses/flaws. His body must've been hella sore after the fight. A Level fighters do not allow themselves to get hit like that.

I don't know how you observe that... if you tell me something like, " when plant moved left, canelo threw hard hooks"... I can look for that, and confirm. You can see canelo backing off of plant after a jab...

How do I look for plant "taking his eyes off, and what does it mean taking his eyes off?sounds like you just are describing canelo hitting plant.
