He won 4 rounds and 5 rounds in two judges scorecards. Literally won 5 rounds on one card.

Usyk was ready to retreat with the calvary in the 6th. Even Whyte said AJ was fighting like a weido, not to try and finish him. PTSD from the Ruiz temple shot still. AJ wins the rematch. Nobody likes FMW, Lara, Andrade, Rigo, etc, the pure boxers but all of a sudden Usyk, a pity pat HW, is God sent in a division people pay to see knockouts. Figure that one out.

Pitty Patty? He came out and nailed AJ in the first round and throughout showed brilliance in slipping and get his right foot outside AJs left and slamming home that left.

Usyk has the speed footwork and IQ to make AJ miss a lot of his shots and missed shots drain you a lot faster.

The same reason Kovalev pushed Ward away, because Usyk and Ward do more damage on the inside to Kovalev and Joshua than vice versa. Usyk has shorter arms, arm control, better skill all around, so Joshua is not safe holding against him, I guess. Teofimo was eating shots in the clinch vs Lomachenko also. Usyk is a long-armed cruiserweight but at heavyweight he's got the shorter arms. And Lomachenko is a short arm fighter period, so mid range and inside are where he does maximum damage.

Agreed. Usyk's popularity is growing but AJ is still the cash cow. However, I wouldnt bet on it either way. Too hard to know what the angle is. Maybe AJ is ready to go make movies now or something, since he's crossed over so much at least in the UK, so maybe it's Usyk's and Fury's time, or they could even bring Wilder back to the forefront, the next few years, before Joshua comes back to fight Wilder or Fury. They could have Wilder knock out Usyk as an excuse to put Wilder in more PPV fights. You just dont know so it's hard to bet on. But the house knows and that's why the house always wins.

I don’t think he pushed Usyk away because Usyk is better on the inside. AJ just doesn’t know how to clinch. It was the same against Ruiz and everyone else he has fought. It’s one of his flaws because he’s a big man that was trained to fight like a small man. Interestingly, he’s very good on the inside against any opponent and the few times he and Usyk were locked together on the inside - how won most of the exchanges.

Interesting point about “the house knows” because a lot of things that happened in that fight were uncharacteristic and bizarre. And Usyk who hardly ever talks has been talking a lot lately and there’s a video of him mocking AJ’s robotic high guard stance - reminiscent of a lot of things Ruiz did before the rematch.

I don’t think Wilder vs Usyk is feasible at this point. I see more of a push with Whyte for the WBC belt since I believe Fury will most likely drop the belt. And Hearn making the undisputed fight an all Matchroom affair.

One thing....Joshua can stop trying to be "besties" with all of his opponents and he might actually be an all time great heavyweight.

But I'm not sure you can teach that....you just have to naturally not want to be friends with someone who's about to punch you in the face...lol.

Joshua can certainly win if he readies himself to take good shots on his chin.

If he's not ready...we'll certainly see it on fight night.

After joshua's first loss I wouldn't even think about questioning his heart and will...but after coming out and trying to BOX with USYK I'm not questioning his heart....I'm questioning his INTELLIGENCE!

Well...Usyk isn't a stopping machine and he's struggled with aggressive fighters. I think if Joshua actually acts like a fighter, he gives Usyk all kinds of problems.

The only issue is that Joshua is apparently no longer willing to take punches to land them like Wilder or Fury.
