Top Rank and Bob Arum don't do purse bids. Expect Eddie to really put the screws to ESPN by taking Tyson Fury off of American television. This fight is headed to the U.K and on DAZN.
Like I said Bob doesn't get into bidding wars for title fights but Eddie Hearn does. He loves purse bids. This fight is mandatory. So if the two sides can't reach an agreement then it becomes a free for all for the highest bidder.Boxviewer likes this.

When Anthony Joshua loses to Usyk again, I gotta feeling that the judges are going to award Dillian Whyte the decision over Fury if it goes to the scorecards. Eddie is already working very hard behind the scenes to ensure a Whyte victory; From the referee to the judges.
Likewise, he has both the BBBoC and UKAD in his back pocket for this fight as well so the fix is in. This fight appears to be a trap for Tyson Fury to lose. He is being set up to fail. Why does it has to take place in the U.K. when Fury's last five fights have been in America?

He's already stated that he is both fatigued and drained mentally from that Wilder trilogy. We can only hope that there is nothing dodgy about this fight on Matchroom Boxing's part. So may the best man win!

There plan is to sabotage the negotiations by pricing themselves out in order to force a purse bid. So they can eventually take the fight and possibly the WBC heavyweight title back to the U.K. Where Dillian would have the home field advantage.
Besides, this title fight is a mandatory challenge. So it's open to the highest bidder. Lastly, Dillian Whyte won't pass up an opportunity of a lifetime to fight Fury for the WBC's world heavyweight title; Even if he does have to fight Tyson Fury on ESPN.
This purse bid is all Eddie Hearn's and Matchroom's idea not Dillian Whyte's.

Losses don't always mean a lot. I think Whyte being open to the uppercut means more than the loss.Castilo likes this.
