But he’s better than Chisora, mate. What’s more, though Joshua lacks Fury’s skill and boxing IQ, he’s a far crisper puncher; something that Whyte has proven highly vulnerable to against AJ, Povetkin and Parker, as you rightly point out.
Other posters have pointed to Fury’s less than brilliant punch technique. Admittedly, it gets results; especially if he leans on his opponents and wears them down.
But to me, he doesn’t carry the kind of technique in any of his wide shot selection that those who have previously troubled Whyte have, though he is a better boxer than them overall.
Whyte will look to manhandle as well, to make up for all of his deficiencies, as I outlined above.
Hence, I see this as a wrestling match, and this combination of styles will make this a closer fight than people expect. Even though there’s a disparity in boxing ability between the 2.
