If GGG afforded people life changing money, maybe more people would’ve stepped up but Canelo fortunately can get whoever the **** he wants. He obviously has to win the fights and there’s no denying his talent but like I said, two entirely different situations.
Just wanted to echo this as it's an excellent post. The money factor is what it is. Sure, you can say GGG could've taken less money to take bigger risks, but c'mon gentlemen this is boxing. Who makes a living fighting and attains wealth in doing so after growing up in poverty and says "sure, I'll keep risking my life for less money." These men are fighting for money and even if they're not - their promoters and managers sure only care about that. GGG just couldn't bring the money Canelo does. Doesn't negate Canelo's greatness either, guy is fantastic and we should all appreciate that he is doing what he is

If you count GG's win over Canelo, surely you count his losses to Derv and Jacobs. Or does it not go both ways?

Oh btw, even "if" G did beat Canelo the 1st fight, he lacks the breadth in his resume to even be mentioned in the same class

Yeah, it's easier to cherry pick names when you're a superstar, and can offer them a career-high payday. But you know that, I think
