It doesnt matter that much how good a guy like Babic (or Johnny Fisher) actually is imo. They can take loses and still be an attraction because theyre entertaining. In Babics case hes crazy in and out of the ring. I think the UK market is more willing to watch someone based on their entertainment value or personality even if they arent the elite. Thats how Del Boy has been around so long and how even Dave Allen did alright for himself for a few years.
