Looks like Benavidez will fight C level opponents and pray for a clenelo payday same as Saunders and Plant. Jesse Hart would be the best fight but that would be too dangerous. Isaac Chilemba has experience. The 168 division is trash.

Obviously Davis was always the opponent and knew so, they just made to sure to boot Uzcategui close enough to the fight to where the pressure on Benavidez to not pull out of the card himself would be too high (knowing Haymons crookedness, probably why they made it a hometown show with his brother on the ledger).

You’re the pyssy crying not me. Why would the PBC want to dethrone Benavidez? He’s young. He’s Mexican American. He’s undefeated and speaks good English. He’s one of the few marketable fighters they have. They have already given him multiple title opportunities and he’s the one that’s fcuked them off.
