Davis HAD to take this opportunity. He almost lost last fight and is not a top fighter so if he passes this up, then he may never get a shot at someone like Benavidez. It also makes sense that he fought recently so he is active and probably in solid shape.

Benavidez should still get him out of there in the mid rounds.

Highly disagree. The local commission is going to suspend Uzcategui and issue a heavy fine. I'm sure he wanted to destroy his career for the benefit of Benavidez and PBC. Uzcategui is NOT a PBC fighter.

On Showtime cards especially there is usually someone training on the undercard in the event of being a COVID replacement.
