True pressure fighters that can constantly apply pressure tend to have a style that can make up for a lot of potential weaknesses.

There is truth to the statement that a pressure fighter is krypton averse...

I say this because the way to stop a pressure fighter is to make him stop being effective pressuring, and reduce him to chasing a puncher.

So a good boxer puncher can make a guy walk into a punch...

Another strategy is to reduce lines moving away using angles to counter. Short angles and punches at weird angles.

    Interesting aside.

Interesting aside... Armstrong who was around when Dempsey started the modern emphasis on punches... is the example used for pressure fighters. Dempsey taught how to apply pressure methodically, prior to that you had guys who could be aggressive, but... the older methods were not kind to pressure fighters.

In classical boxing you kept a range of roughly 3 feet away from the opponent. This maintenance of distance was a check against unchecked swarming... swarmed would wind up in the grapple.

The steady squaring up and constant pressure only became viable when boxing changed.
