Ws a pretty good call, not many of us expected Mayweather vs Marquez to sell this much. I think Cotto vs Pacquiao will give it a run for it's money.

I hope Pac-Cotto does just as good if not better. That's good for boxing. I see it coming close but not topping it though. Maybe touching 800-900k like Hatton. That's sstill damn good. Two ODH popluar fighters getting it on next year? Floyd-Pac is selling 3 mill.

2009 isn't over, and HBO is already advertising Pac/Cotto 24/7 to start Oct 24, so your "rumors" that there wouldn't be one have turned out to be false.

Don't get too excited just yet.

With about 20-30 million of Mexican-Americans here in the US, of course many will get the PPV to watch and support JMM. With PBF being an American, his fans are in millions and will likely get to buy his PPV.

You can't say that about Pac. Even though Pac has impressed American audience, he still doesn't have the followings of PBF. Even with the Filipino-American fans, its only about 2 million of them, not much PPV sell. And Puerto Ricans probalby numbered around 5 millions(corrections please) to back Cotto. So the fans support is not that big for their fellow countrymen.

A one-sided exhibition is the biggest thing in boxing this year? That's depressing as hell.

There were discussion about who was being the draw in the Pac-Hatton fight. Some say its Pac. Some say its Hatton cuz Brits come to the US and watched his fight.

If we were decide who being the draw/most ppv, it should the support of his fans outside of his nationality/race/ethinicity. Filipinos will support Pac, PR on Cotto, Brits on Hatton, Black Americans on PBF, and Mexicans on JMM. But for being a draw, it will be how he impress the fans outside of his ethnicty.
