Yes that's right. This fight generate the most revenue for 1 single fight in 2009. One thing i have noticed is that the hype is building up. A group of people i know have talked about going to theater and watching the fight on the big screen. 24-7 is definately having an effect once again imo.

1.Mayweather vs Marquez features the 2 best fighters of their respective countries USA vs Mexico.

2.Mexicans vs Blacks. This also includes the high population of Mexican/American in the united states which probably root for both guys (Some do).

Cotto has plenty of fans and he's had solid success as a PPV headliner. If he's not on par with Marquez in terms of recognition, he's past him. Remember the Casa PPV bombed and the Diaz fight was in Houston for a reason.
