Many people think Canelo will walk down Plant. Yet, I have a different perspective, I think Canelo will do a lot of what he was doing when he fought Daniel Jacobs. His head movement and standing with Jacobs was amazing. I don't think Canelo will ONLY walk Plant down, him standing in the middle, to-to-toe to a degree will probably be key.
How do you see Canelo winning?
At the same time, maybe you think Plant will win. If so, How will Plant win?
(This is obviously theoretical, maybe Plant gets the W, but I doubt it)

Canelo has the power and as people say... he is a boxer puncher with the punch of a pure boxer and the boxing skill of a premier boxer. This means he has many conceviable ways to win the fight...rather than point these out, which is something many others have done admirably, I would like to point out some of the fallicies I see with making Canelo such a favorite in this fight.

While its true that Canelo CAN win the fight in many ways, he cannot necessarily win them using all those ways. He will have a sense of what strategy he wants to implement and use one primary strategy, with the intention of going back to the toolbox if he is not intitially succesful. In so doing, rounds will pass, and if his initial strategy is wrong, Plant's confidence will grow, rounds will (in theory) go to Plant...etc. Of course the judges love Canelo... but that is another issue.

In actuality? Canelo is probably going to try to blast Plant out of there. That is really the only strategy that Plant has to prepare for... If Canelo fails to do this, and it is obvious he is compromised in so doing... Canelo can start to box, and use his other skills but Plant at that point will have minimized a lot of strenghts regarding Canelo and brought him down to earth (so to speak).

Plant has not faced someone as good as Canelo... True. But that does not mean he will falter. It is simply a case of him being ready, or not ready to face Canelo. Canelo is not unbeatable. I like the Trout fight in particular to illustrate how Canelo can be outmanuveured by a really good and mobile fighter who makes it hard for Saul to stay in the pocket.

Plant is imo a lot like Trout... It remains to be seen if he can do what Trout did against Canelo.

Plant has some advantages given that his style is not one that Canelo handles particularly well.

If I am Plant, I prepare for an initial onslaught, I keep mobile, try to come in at angles that are hard to counter (change the usual distance on any punch by throwing it at an acward angle). I want to keep Canelo off balance and from setting up in the pocket. In so doing, i have to watch Canelo's counter punching. As I get Canelo more frustrated, I can take more chances.... I am looking for a moral victory because I am not KOing Canelo and no judge will give me a decision.

He has already beaten him. Plant went for the smoke and got lit-up at that face to face. 1-0 Canelo. I think the rematch in the ring will be Canelo by stoppage 7-9. Nash out. Nash is a true warrior and a helluva poster who resides in England.

I just had to give Canelo at least an unofficial win for that. Plant went in like he was about to f*** Ginger Boy up, and Canelo, dodged, and slapped him senseless before he even knew what was happening. Nash out.

Great points man.
Now just imagine 12 full rounds of that action, i think Plant will be left with a nice busted up face and lacerations.

I know right? Considering how Dominant Canelo has looked since the Second GGG fight, its hard to not see him as always being a big favorite. Canelo without a doubt will win, just a matter of how dominant he will be

I mean a lot of people are calling for a KO win over Plant.
I don't deny it, I mean I think it is more probable for Plant corner to throw in the towel or the ref to call it a TKO before and actual KO.
