Yeah possibly, but at 140 right now for Top Rank there's Taylor, Zepeda, Barboza jr, and Pedraza. Not to mention Lopez coming up. And that's where the belts are, and may be for a while. I do feel Haney would be better received at PBC though to be fair.

I would sign with Top Rank since they hold all the cards between 126-140. There he would be a perfect fit.

Sign me up for that fight, any time. I think Zepeda is with GBP.

Indeed it would, especially if the winner faced the winner of Tank vs. Romero!

You gotta good point there, but let's see if Taylor stays there @ 140 for Lopez, or goes to 147 for Crawford. I don't think Haney is ready for 140 just yet! Maybe 2023?

Yeah I agree. He definitely wants to stay. But his patience must be wearing thin. He needs to think over his next moves carefully, as he needs to be in the thick of it when 140 comes. It would be a travesty if he went up there and was still being avoided.

He really shouldn't have to chase opponents @ 135. That's the WBC's job, to assign mandatory challengers! Also, as the Champ @ 135, the WBC has to allow him to challenge the Champ @ 140! So if Lopez were to beat Taylor, Haney can force the issue!

I thought the WBC done that but wasn't sure if it was standard or just when it suits the WBC lol. I know the WBO definitely do that. Which doesn't help Haney, but it guarantees Lopez a shot at 140 and Taylor a shot at 147.

Not the worst match up. But again he's GBP, so would they allow it?
