There is still reason for it. One day Lopez is gonna look at the record books, and for the first ever undisputed champion at lightweight in the four belt era it ll be someone else's name there lol. And he's gonna spend the rest of his life either regretting it, or kidding himself on. He'll never receive true recognition, because it's fake. He still has the chance to do something about it. If he gets that Taylor fight it'll thrown in his face big time. It's his cross to bear. ****** ****** boy.

Haney has skills, but the way he was rocked by Linares make me wonder as to his true value.

Haney isn’t big enough to be a free standing promotion, he needs the backing of PBC, Golden Boy, or Top Rank. Matchroom just can’t do anything for him and never could. Ggg, Haney, and Andrade seem to all be in the same boat. He needs to align himself with pbc, that’s the best option for him and who he can fight at or around his weight

I think PBC has more depth! 135: Tank, Pitbull Cruz-Gonzalez, Michel Rivera, Rolly Romero. 140: Browny Matias, Mario Barrios, Shohjahon Ergashev, Rances Barthelemy, Batyr Ahkmedov, Gary Antuanne Russell, Brandun Lee, and Regis Prograis (if Schafer keeps ties with PBC).

Top rank is the best option. Lopez, loma, Taylor are big fights. Haney not signing with bob though. He dont trust him.

So that leaves Pbc. But pbc not giving him tank. So without a tank fight, its no big fight over there 130 to 140 for haney.

Cap'n Bill Haney.......Actions speaks louder than words. Will tell everyone they want the big fights yet chase the easy money . Let's examine the last 3 voluntary title defenses they've had. Santiago (who?) how did this kid even qualify or earn a shot at the title? Gamboa 38yo one legged Sr citizen coming off of being KO by Tank Davis how did he get a shot at a title coming off a loss? Linares who's been KO 2 out of his last 5 fights how? Linares was an exemption to avoid the more rugged fighter Fortuna who's Promoter Sampson activated his mandatory on February 16th in public display on Tha Boxing Voice with Bill Haney in attendance. After the Linares fight they became free agents and June were a no show to a meeting with Bob Arum to make a fight with Teofimo Lopez. Jo Jo Diaz became the Mandatory for Devin Haney and were given a time frame to terms. Once again the Haney's were a no show and never sent Jo Jo Diaz a term sheet to make the fight then go on YouTube saying Jo Jo doesn't want the fight? All the while are chasing Maxi Hughes (who?) 24-5 for another easy cherry payday. On the board today you still have young hungry prime undefeated fighters the likes of Michele Rivera, William Zepeda & Isaac Cruz. Again action speaks louder than words don't say you chasing legacy when in fact all you been chasing is an easy bags money . I'd rather they say they just want to be an attraction like Tank Davis instead of cap'n telling everyone they are chasing legacy and that everyone is avoiding them as if? They will end up like Demetrius Andrade frozen out at DAZN if they don't make the moves to sign short term with Top Rank who's got 135 & 140 on lock. Stop fooling your fans Bill some of us knows better.

Bill Haney thought he was smart when he played Top Rank and had them put him on a PPV CARD, and then Bill played Bob!! Wrong move, and Bill is not in good terms with Al Haymon!!!

Haney is not a big enough or established enough draw to remain free agent. According to reports his fights under DAZN all lost money. No other company is going to pay him to fight low level opponents or give him a big fight without a long term contract. Hearn tried and can't get him big fights he will be a fool to re-sign he needs to sign with a established American promoter to get the big fights.
