Haney is stuck in a lose/lose situation. The WBC basically said his belt is a trinket and not comparable with their "franchise" title and Haney really isnt a draw. He lost any recognition he built up from Shobox when he signed with Matchroom and fought on Dazn. He isnt known for highlight reel performances and nobody outside the hardcores know who he is so his drawing power is a little bit more than less than nothing.

If the WBC are saying that his belt is a trinket, then their being disrespectful to the 16 World champions up and down the divisions. The Franchise title is not the world title as recognized by the other governing bodies. It's not available to all fighters in all weight classes. It's an extra merit award only given to fighters who have done more than just win the world title. That's fine, but it shouldn't be transferable. Suliman says it makes Lopez undisputed. So why are the other organizations and most people out there not agreeing. Canelo was denied undisputed at middleweight, which is why when he was offered the chance to be franchise at 168 he declined. Because he wants undisputed, and accepting franchise would have ruined that. Suliman doesn't get to decide if it's undisputed. He may have authority in the WBC but he doesn't have authority over world boxing. It's no wonder most see the WBC as pathetic.

Haney needs another co-promotion deal, to make things work. I would suggest TGB or Mayweather Promotions because PBC has Tank @ 135, GRJ looking to move up, Colbert will have to move up soon, and a ton of talent @ 140, where Haney will be eventually!

I agree, as it keeps his options open. But he'll still do fight by fight with them. But he's available to go on a Top Rank, Showtime or GBP show anytime now. But will those 3 make offers to fight him? Not a chance unless he signs multi fight deals with them. They clearly want no part of Haney.

They haven't made offers because their approaches have been rebuffed. A fight with Garcia was easy made, as Dazn was wanting that and they both had contracts there. But Garcia made it plain he wanted no part of it by bluffing that he wanted Davis. There's been no offer to Lopez as they made it clear from the off that they wanted to do the Kambosos mandatory. Top Rank doesn't want its fighters near Haney as proven by the whole franchise debacle. And with regards Davis, the Haneys seem to have a relationship with Mayweather, and if you ask me he has probably said to them not to pursue that fight at this time as it will not be reciprocated and they don't want it all dragged through the media. The Haneys being friends respect this so don't mention Davis. But they've made their interest clear in Lopez, Loma and Garcia. And its about negotiating, not just them making offers. But those three have made their non interest clear.

It's a tough one. You could argue Top Rank also as they're strong at 140. But Matchroom isn't really the place for him as their light in roster at 135 and 140, and even 147 also.

You'll get no argument from me on the matter. The only resolution is for Haney and Lopez to fight and Bob wont pay Haney what he thinks he is worth. He has no drawing power and there is no reason for undisputed when WBC has told Lopez that he is already undisputed.

Thing is, if you are KO-ing everyone like GGG was and Ennis currently is - eventually you become a draw and capture some casuals. But if you are a great boxer but put on boring shows like Andrade and Haney - you can go your whole career without getting super well paid. Lets see what happens
