I always like to read the Sunday Morning Coaches of NSB. It’s like reading a damn comic book. There genuinely are some idiots here. It oozes with stench. Coulda, woulda, shoulda.
This fight will go down as a classic clash of Heavyweight Giants!

That's not evening out the playing field. I had been saying that just because you use a horsehair glove doesn't mean you have more concussive power. I argue that some of the foam gloves have the same concussive power, maybe even more. It's not like the old horsehair gloves where the horse hair moves around. Sometimes, from the sweat, it will become compact and not as much cushion. The knuckles can go through, I suppose, with enough sweat in the glove. But the horsehair is covered by a layer of foam. The only thing you can guarantee is that your hands are going to take a lot more damage. That's the one thing you can count on. The benefits to punching power are really debatable, IMO.

Wilder doesn't have 1/16 of the boxing IQ that Uysk has.

I agree that it wasn't the wisest choice because Wilder knew the risks involved. He even admitted that in addition to breaking many eye sockets with those gloves; He even broke his own hands several times wearing those MX Everlast gloves. So in principle I agree with you. You are right.

Even in boxing people apparently do not understand that gloves protect the hand not the target.

So it's been confirmed, Fury's skull and chin are greater than Wilder's fists. Deontay should have used the gloves he usually uses to protect his hands more. He can't handle puncher's gloves.

But he was trying to win with concussive power. That was still the thing he continued trying. His power was NOT good enough to win him the fight. Even his adaptive changes didn't help much because Fury kept the heat on him constantly.

I'd have to watch the replay. I thought I heard the commentators state that Wilder wasn't throwing his right hand enough. It actually looked that way during the fight. It's tough to watch a fight at a club because the dumbass deejays always play music in between the rounds. If Wilder's hand was indeed broken, perhaps the fight would have turned out differently. It's not enough to warrant a rematch however. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Champions find ways to survive and win.

Malik Scott need his (A) whipped for all that dam brown nosing! Come on man your guy skills were no dam where near great or good! I give him credit for the heart he displayed and his effort at going to the body, but to be honest he look like a dam amateur with no basic fundamentals whatsoever. I’m seeing it from a boxer perspective and with over 40 fights not knowing how to relax and be composed is a major issue at this level.

I always thought Wilder is overrated. He will always lose in higher level of competition.
