When you're a top fighter, you're supposed to win that, point blank. Watch Valdez Vs. Quigg if you need some reference.

Rigo moved up 2 weight classes for the fight, and the rest are solid fighters, but its not like he beat any future hall famers. Yes, his resume had something to do with it, but the eye test pushed him to the #1 spot on many people's list.
Lol I'm not making excuses for him homeboy but Salido DID come in overweight and repeatedly used his balls as a speedbag! Losing to Salido in your second professional fight is nothing to sneeze at though, salido was one bad ass fighter himself.

I'm just not a fan of the "good ole eye" test, solely, to anoint one fighter better than another as that test as failed many a boxers and fans...just ask our very own Larry. Resumes over "eye test" all day long.

This better not be an excuse for why he lost. It was his own fault.
I completely agree, as soon as the BS about the gloves landed with him switching to the MX late notice I said he’ll probs break his hand, nobody switches gloves that late, is was a dumb decision, ego again gets the man. It could be decision that ends his career, because once broken, hands break easier again and he relies on that power. Although, it would also be a great excuse to retire as well, ‘hey Deontay why don’t you go beat all the others and clean up the division?’ ….’I would but I can’t ya know with this darn hand of mine’ …would be his style.

No shame in losing to Fury though I agree, and would accept his stock might have gone up in some areas
You can say that but would AJ have done better vs Fury? I HIGHLY doubt it. Joshua would've curled up into a ball crying before taking that kind of punishment. Usyk has the skill to potentially upset Fury, but I don't think any other heavyweight comes as close to beating Fury as Wilder has done twice now. He was a couple seconds away from getting a KO in 2 of these fights. Fury will probably go down as the greatest of our era and Wilder may have been the only one to get that close to beating him if Usyk can't pull it off.

I happen to think Usyk is a problem for Fury though, Wilder has VERY poor defense and head movement and yet it took him 11 rounds to finally KO him. Usyk isn't going to allow that to happen nor will he be taking 100% clean shots from his blindside like Wilder does after every left hand he throws.

Scott is spot on and made vast improvements to Wilder who had Fury down and nearly out .Wilders power is incredible and can still be devastating when he's seemingly out on his feet. He can come again after a good rest but he must leave Tyson alone now for his own health. All the other guys out there Usyk, Joyce , Dubois , Joshua and Whyte get cleaned out by him. I hope he comes again as he is like Tyson said 'the second best heavyweight out there' and his heart is unquestionable.

No he shouldn’t have tried to transform himself overnight and I’m not suggesting it. But if being who he is is all we can say for him, it’s damning with faint praise in my view.

not so much a good account of himself - he had over a year to prepare and showed basically no improvement except for the first round. It’s at best an accurate account of his short comings.

I think Joshua is still *potentially* an interesting fight with fury. Joshua has the physical attributes to be a problem for any guy in the division. If he can get over his fear of being hit (I don’t think he’s been the same since the Ruiz loss - doesn’t like to get in the trenches and mix it up) and use those physical qualities… easier said than done though.

I agree Usyk wouldn’t get caught the way Wilder did. I see Usyk winning a decision against Fury.
