Kownacki had 19 months to get in better shape & he obviously didn’t do that.

Kudos to Helenius for this performance. Unlike Kownacki Helenius looked to be ready for this fight. He had a solid 1-2 all night & mixed in a few uppercuts. At no time was he in any trouble.

It has been a few years since he looked this good. Injuries & promotional problems derailed his career after a very promising start. He looked disinterested against Whyte & the sudden KO loss to Duhaupus was surprising but I thought he was finished after Washington KO’d him. No HW looking to contend loses to him.

Helenius has a high ranking in the WBA & with back to back wins over Kownacki he could next be involved in a final eliminator with Hunter or maybe even a fight with Bryan to determine who is the WBA mandatory. Kownacki was tailor made for Helenius. Usually a good counterpuncher but last night he went on the attack from the opening bell. It is good to see him have a revival late in his career.

      Screw you doubters.

      NORDIC NIGHTMARE DOES IT AGAIN.

Sad about what happened to Wilder tho. Good fight, very close.

I feel sorry for Adam Kownacki after such a promising career he is just a gatekeepers status now. Not only that but his china is cracked and he no longer has any more punch resistance. That Cris Arreola fight must've really ruined him.

Adam was the favorite going into this fight? He must have something really dirty of some folks in the boxing world. That would help explain how he was ever considered worthy of a Ring top 10 ranking.

He had mentioned after the first Kownacki fight that it was the first time in a long time he wasn't dealing with injuries. Physically he looked better than I've seen him before. I think he was confident too, since he knew he stopped Kownacki before.

I think he's improved but Helenius is all wrong for Kownacki. Slow, shorter reach and leaky defense. The Finn could tee off with his pole-axe jab and straight right.

I thought he'd avenge the loss. I was very wrong and lost money when I parlayed him with Sanchez. Kownacki had some decent wins against Arreola, Washington and Martin... Helenius' power exposed the folly of using your face to catch your opponent's power punches.
