He was about to get badly hurt just when the fight was stopped anyway.

One thing a lot of people didn’t pick up and was early in the fight Fury was kind of purposely smothering his own work so his momentum got him close to wilder and he could get physical with him and sap his energy

if you watch the final round before it’s stopped, Fury knows Wilder has absolutely nothing left and nothing is going to come back, So he starts backing him into corners and onto the ropes and actually straightening his punches more from a middle distance. Just before the stoppage you see fury actually take a step back so he’s at a distance where he can get full leverage on his punches because he wasn’t concerned about what was coming back. Wilder was about to get cleaned out if it went any longer.

Mark Breland clearly spotted this too, that Fury was starting to straighten his shots to do real damage from that point. That’s the real reason why the towel come in at that exact moment. It was going to get dangerous.

I don't see it happening but still.
That's the most disgusting part of Wilder's excuses. Wilder can't just win a rematch and say he improved, he wants to try and discredit Fury's win in the 2nd fight and destroy Fury's reputation (along with the reputation of Fury's team, Breland, the ref, the commision, etc.)

I agree. Fury is going to completely beat down and embarrass Wilder on Saturday night imo.

Wilder was vocal about it and every report he was stating it. If it was his management we would had heard otherwise. Either he is mentally broken or not he has insisted on the fight.

I don't know... I don't think you can read into Wilder's state of mind. A couple of things,
              1. When the fight was stopped, which I have no problem with... Wilder did look like he could continue and that he wanted to do so.
              2. A fight is a fight... its not a fight to the death, or a fight where if you lose, you lose something other than the fight... A lot of people view a fight as minor, others are scared to death of physical confrontation.
              3. I don't think Wilder looks like a broken man. Really if I am Wilder? Im saying to myself, "that egg headed two arsed wanker can hit me with shots...but I will get my chance. Ill get at least a few shots that I can make stick.

I think Fury wins this... but does anyone think Wilder does not get at least...oh lets say 3 shots on Fury? Lookat the Tim Witherspoon Frank Bruno fight... Witherspoon was missing a lot, but once he got his good shot, he dropped Bruno. Watch the Shannon Briggs fight against the Eastern European guy... the fight lasted for 11 rounds plus of Briggs getting hit, Briggs KO'ed him in the last seconds of the final round.

My point is Wilder knows he will get his chances. Fury talks a big game but Fury would have to show a different aspect of his game to go after Wilder and KO him like a bona fide puncher. In reality they have both dropped each other.

I don't think guys like Wilder are scared the way people think they are here...

I admit I never followed every report about that whole saga, but to me it seems like a situation where his team knows the money that this fight will bring, and is trying to cash in.

Wilder's body language and words are just all off to me. If he just admitted he had a bad night I'd think he was ready for the fight Saturday. But yeah he just comes off to me as a guy who is halfway in. And that is baddddd in boxing. I guess we will see.

Wilder is not too bright. He used every excuse to blame why he lost and took it out at his staff and hired yes men. Still I think he believes that he was done wrong and wants another shot. If he loses again he will melt down.

Yeah I never thought Wilder was the brightest guy, but it was honestly hard to watch him in some of these recent press conferences. I guess we will see what happens Sat night.

Just look at his statements. He wanted to catch a body in the ring, he could be prime Tyson, twerking, etc. Not someone you can really take advice from.
