Against Silva, Forrest would've had little to no chance on the ground as well, and he'd STILL have an infinitely better chance than any boxer you can think of. So since he's a better striker than he is a grappler, he decided to keep the fight standing up.

Just because he didn't use it doesn't mean his opponent was not forced to respect it. Why use Larry's name if you arne't him btw?

If a boxer gets in the ring his opponent will not trade hands with him. If Griffin made that decision, he'd still have to worry about the ground game, the kicking, knees, etc.
