and for your info, i'm wrestling for 10 years now, i'm 6-2 as amateur in mma (probably will go pro soon), and i've started working on my boxing year and half ago, and i'm training with some of best stand-up guys here, so i know some stuff about fighting.

Not only that, but alot of good MMA fighters like to box themselves and thats wat sum r best at.
But again, just like Boxing, MMA fighters have game plans. You can't just assume they're both going to just throw hands. If the Boxer has an advantage with his hands, how's he going to set up a 1-2 when he's gotta worry about being kicked in the head or even in the ribs or taken down? There's a lot more you gotta prepare for than just a guy throwing combinations.

A good example was the recent fight between GSP and Thiago Alves. Alves is a strong dude who packs a hell of a punch. GSP is good with his hands, but he knew he didn't have the power advantage so he took the fight to the ground and outclassed Alves who many thought would beat GSP or at least give him a very tough fight...neither happened.

              Its all about gameplans.

actually, an old Francois Botha came within 1 second of beating Bojansky, and also has wins over Jerome LeBanner and Peter Aerts.

not to mention a boxing clubfighter from South Africa named Virgil Kalakoda gavea very hard time to the best kickboxers in his weight class, almost beating Buakow and beating Sato.

and again, 48 year old Mercer beat top ten rated Sylvia.
KJ Koons beat Yves Edwards and Nick Diaz, both notable names, and is a average boxer at best.

while the mma fighter should obviously be favored in a mma fight, saying a top level boxer has no chance is laughable. with the right strategy and a little takedown defence, you can go a pretty long way.
