Come on, it's nonsense, his eardrum was clearly busted. He wouldn't admit it because it justified Breland's throwing of the towel, but surely everyone knows what actually happened.
Wilder in his own words…you don’t even believe the man who had the injury? Trust me if he had a burst eardrum he would have been in the worst agony imaginable and would have quit in his corner. I knew a pro rugby player that got a burst eardrum and he had played with a broken arm in the past and it’s the only time I’ve see a 250lb man cry.

There are boxers who have gone through busted eardrums before. And I rate Wilder's guts if not his technical ability.

I believe it was a busted eardrum because everything points to it. Blow to the ear, significant bleeding from the ear, immediate and sustained loss of balance, and a trainer who was up close calling the fight off for that very reason. Before DW denied everything and blamed the trainer.
I believe he went to hospital because we were told he did and that's why he wasn't at the post fight presser. Before DW denied everything.

Then there's the fact that you're asking me to believe 'the man himself'. You're aware of which man this is, right? Egg weights, spiked water, baby oil, gypsy curse, tampered gloves, heavy ringwalk suit... need I go on? He's not a reliable narrator when it comes to what happened in these fights.

No, believe Wilder, that’s Wilder quoted in the news. He is saying it was tear in the skin not inside, he need stitches to repair the split in his skin, he even said it was a strange injury probably caused by a rabbit punch, but not a ruptured ear drum.

Any fight that doesn't goes the distance means someone got ''out of there''

Simple question, do you think Wilder has been truthful about the events surrounding that fight? Then why suddenly believe this statement?

We know exactly which punch caused the injury. It was the right hand that put him down. Right on the ear. 3rd round. Followed by bleeding from the same ear.

You think it was a tear. Ok. He immediately lost his footing and balance. He didn't stiffen up, didn't sway like a man buzzed, you can see what's happening with him.

I say a tear doesn't cause that. A tear doesn't cause anything but pain and bleeding.

And obviously I don't believe Wilder. Actually I don't believe practically everything he said after the fight, but certainly not about the ear injury.

He got punched in the ear, of course he lost his balance, you don’t need to have a blown ear drum for a punch behind the ear to put you off balance. Anyway forget that, lies have motive or just some simple delusion behind them. His motive for the numerous cheating claims is to convince his fans he didn’t actually lose, that he would have won had it been fair. His motive for admitting he doesn’t have a burst eardrum is that he’d have to be out of training for weeks, possibly on a very long recovery plan to repair that ear if it were true. He wasn’t about to fake a burst eardrum for weeks even months just to milk some sympathy and make another excuse, he already had a whole catalogue of excuses he didn’t need another.

But it would have given credibility to Breland's reason for throwing in the towel. And that certainly didn't fit the version of the truth that Wilder was constructing.

That's the motive. It was the butler that did it.

Well it’s all irrelevant now, 3 rolls of the dice, couldn’t beat him even with new gloves, lighter costume, better team and prep, keeping Fury waiting…sooner he gets over it the better cos the talking is over and he got Ko’d, lights out.

Let's hope so. We haven't heard from Deontay yet...

There will no doubt be excuses, it’s just a shame he didn’t shake Tyson’s hand at the end, he lets himself down a bit there, respect was earned.
