American boxing is paralysed. No big fights, just swerving

I’ve been a boxing fan longer than most. That is the real difference.
Of course if Tank were a no American nsb would judge it differently. That has been the case for years here. You’d be right along doing the same.
If tank were on DAZN or TR, he’d be viewed differently as well.
If you’re just a boxing fan than you’d have to see the huge anti haymon bias on NSb and how that impacts How people assess Tank.Comment

What happened to him following through on calling out Keith Thurman I see that quieted down a lot.
I knew it was all a publicity stunt like how your boy called out Winky Wright but in the end ducked him.
I was willing to put 20 bucks on Tank not following through I guess you knew what time it was.

Oh, he's a good boxer. No two ways about it. But he stopped getting better. And, to be fair and unbiased, we really have no idea how good he is until he gets in the ring with top competition. Pedraza was a good win. But in my opinion two things happened in that fight. (1) Pedraza fought as if he were the bigger guy, on the inside, mixing it up, instead of using his physical advantages. Or I should say instead of just boxing him from the outside. (2) Tank caught him, and in my opinion, the fight was stopped a little too early. Doesn't take away from Tanks victory, but there were parts where Pedraza had the leg up.
To be honest, in all of his fights, it's a toe to toe match or he's losing in some spots. It's as if he's losing the fight at some point and then is able to get that TKO/KO and rescue himself. That's what a lot of his fights seem like to me. He is fighting some good opponents, but let's be honest, no body knew who the hell Barrios was, and he was an interim champion. Not a champion. But Tank goes on to say he's a champion at that division.
His whole career is smoke screen and mirrors at this point.Comment

You're a weak man. I call out hypocrisy in boxing, and then you come back with "why are you picking on me?!" booo hooo "You wouldn't do this to someone else." boo hoo wha wha sniffle sniffle. Get a damn spine man so you can deal with reality. Your Stank Davis isn't doing ****. He's actually hurting the sport by perpetuating business decisions over legacy. And that's fine if that's what he wants to do, but if he wants to make himself out to be something that he's not and criticize others for fighting the good fights, the legacy fights, then I'm going to rip him apart every chance I get. And if that hurts your feelings, if that makes you feel as if I'm picking on you or NSB is picking on you, then that's your fault. That's on you. But don't come around here crying about it. That's bull****. It's pathetic.

That was ellerbee, not tank.

Showtime execs shot it down. Keith and Tank got some pub from it and then everyone moved on.
Only pole smoking losers with an axe to grind like you frame it like this.

Tank isn’t hurting the sport in any way right now. He’s drawing actual paying fans and expanding places on the map where fans watch boxing.

Anybody who claims that hurts the sport is an absolute f-cking imbecile.
He has a solid resume to this point. To call building his brand “perpetuating business over legacy” is complete bullish-t. Tank is 26 and has 25 pro fights. Not many guys have defined their legacy at this age and in that many fights.
The main reason guys like you go at him is he’s with PBC and he’s doing better business than guys you like.
I will continue to push back on the false narrative about his resume. No one in this thread has yet to refute anything I’ve posted about his resume.
Just pretend he’s a non American. Then all your criticisms will disappear.Last edited by The Big Dunn; 09-28-2021, 01:01 PM.Comment

In other words, Tank ducked him when Thurman said bring it on.
Just like Floyd ducked Winky when Winky said bring it on.
Those Showtime execs always passing up on a sure thing huh.
It just can't be what it is, it always has to be about something else with you.
